I'm wondering if you can clarify exactly where the pump is broken?? The BMW fuel pump puts out 100psi pressure and I don't think you're going to have much luck with any kind of adhesive or epoxy based repair with that kind of pressure behind it. You might want to pull the pump and spend some time and a box of donuts (Bobster's idea) at the local NAPA store and see if they have a cross-reference to a VW or Audi part. (For example, you should never buy a replacement BMW starter or light relay at a BMW dealer-- pull the part and see your nearest VW dealer, get the same part for less than half the cost.) If I remember correctly the pump is made by Bosch so should not bee too hard to cross-reference. If you can find a replacement pump that will fit and has an output pressure somewhere near the BMW unit you might be able to save some $$. If pressure is close you should be OK, as pressure to the rail is determined by the regulator. Just a thought..... Mounted on an R1100RT dashboard/shelf from BMW of SL (RCU Designs), with enough room for a radar detector. Fitted a BMW male to the Garmin factory cigarette lighter adapter to plug into the accessory outlet on dash of the RT. Know several people with this model. You can upload additional data from mapping software, e.g., Map Source, Topo USA, etc., including topo information if you do off-road stuff either on bike or 4 wheeler. A friend loaded all of Boxelder County topo info for my fall bird hunting, way cool. The III Plus out of the box has a tremendous amount of highway data already, so additional software is not a requirement.
