Well I think Giles', considering where he comes from is either Protestant (most likely) or Catholic, but I doubt the Catholic part so much, not that I know a whole lot about that religion I think the belief of supernatural is look down on (can anyone who is Catholic confirm or deny this?). Or he could be part of a whole other religion entirely. Any other thoughts? Anyone got songs for Buffy and the rest of the gang? Well, for a nice slow dance between Buffy & Angelhunk, how 'bout that Berlin slowdance classic "Take my Breath Away"? The last hunk to move to it onscreen (in Top Gun) was Tom Cruise who also played the vampire Lestat in "Interview..." so we have our connection! Since it will now be a vampire dance song we can modify it to "Take my Blood Away" or something. If things get worse with government cutbacks, the privatization frenzy, disdain for the arts, and the resultant closures of libraries, he can always create and curate a "Museum of the Strange" filled with his precious books and artifacts (behind glass cases of course). John Ford's "Dragon Waiting" vampires: vampirism is a disease spread through contaminated blood, so vampires come in all types of personality, from decent to diabolical. Kill by severing both the vagus nerve in the heart and the spinal cord. (While this can be done successfully by amateurs if they're lucky, disposing of vampires properly is a job usually left to surgeons so they can be sure it's done right.) Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's St. Germain: Romantic, noble vampire. Created through a mystical ceremony consecrating him to an ancient god. (Don't remember the exact details.) Don't know what would happen if you stake him, no one's done it yet. "Vampire: The Masquerade" RPG vampires: All vampires are descended from Cain, the original vampire. Each "generation" away from Cain weakens the vampiric blood. Vampires come in a variety of personalities from truly nasty to relatively nice, though they all have a vicious streak caused by their vampirism (this tendency being referred to as "The Beast"). Some give themselves over completely to the Beast, and some try to fight it. Very few of them ever bring their Beast totally under control. (So even if you meet a vampire who *tries* to be good, you have to be careful because he might lose control.)
