(Aren't we all?) They obviously can't I think Xander and Cordy won't last too long. Whether they go public or not, I can already hear Cordy saying: "I can't believe I kissed him!" I think Xander and Cordy are together cause the BtVS staff writers are pairing everyone off into couples for romantic purposes. Didn't some guy at Warner Brothers PR say they were doing this to appeal to the female audience? I guess in a way it's like a Beverly Hills 90210 or soap opera. In the end, who else could Xander end up with other than Willow...especially if that rumor about Oz being a werewolf turns out to be true. I still remember the "Kiss That Never Was" between Xander and Willow in 'When She Was Bad." Remember that? It was interrupted by the vampire and Buffy's reappearance after Summer Vacation. Xander and Cordelia had spent a Summer of Friendship together that was just about to culminate naturally and beautifully in a First Kiss. Sooner or later, I'm thinking Xander and Willow will get together. Frankly, I don't know enough about the true way in which Buffyverse vampire physiology functions, so I can't answer this question except with speculation. If forced to decide, I'd say that some ritual which restores Angel to human status probably wouldn't be so harsh as to simultaneously cause him to "make up" for the years he'd already lived. There would be no point in this transformation, otherwise. His soul isn't in jeopardy, it's just that a demon is sharing the same body. Now, if Angel's life was restored somehow retroactively or suddenly, he just might age 200+ years in an instant (for some reason I can't get the images of the bad guy in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" who drinks out of the wrong grail out of my head). I think if this ever happens in the show (pretty much the only solution I see to Buffy and Angel's complete happiness together), that Angel won't instantaneously deteriorate from hundreds of years of age, but that he'll merely age from the point of his appearance, IMHO. Were she to be from Africa, it might make a little bit more sense. Her accent isn't too far off that of some native Africans I've heard (say Zaire or even South Africa--and this is blacks I'm talking about), and her Watcher goes by the name "Mistress Zabuto"--apparently a very spiritual, shaman-ish woman, but one who consults books regularly. She could be a woman in a township somewhere near Soweto, South Africa, or a member of a local tribe in Zimbabwe. The only *17* I know of in CA is the highway between Santa Cruz and San Jose. Santa Cruz is where "The Lost Boys" was filmed (coincidence?) ...and I can verify an ice rink in San Jose. Unfortunately those cities are *way* more than two hours from LA. Does anyone know of another *17* in CA? The mystery remains... Secondly, a mild nit-pick. During the *goodbye to Kendra* sequence, Buffy's necklace is off-center in the beginning, centers itself, and is again off-center during the last shot. But, when they kissed a second time in the lab at school, that makes me think Xander & Cordelia might become a couple. As others have said, with all of Xander & Cordelia's snapping back and forth at each other, this seemed like it might happen, and it did. When you look at the big picture of all four main characters, this works out well. Giles has Ms. Calender (maybe?) we still don't know what's goi= ng to happen there. Buffy has Angel. I believe since we have already seen his darkside via Dark Ages, that he should do a little more than pull a trigger on a crossbow. He has so much more potential...why doesn't he use it? On to Willow........The scene with her jumping on the vamps back helping Giles was great. The one disappointment I have only has 2 letters. OZ. Yeah if it wasn't for him Willow could have been shot....I am thankful for that...But why didn't the bullet hit him someplace other than his bicep or lack there of? Maybe like the skull? My main reasoning behind this thory is that they haven't "shown" the third hunter. After they introduced worm man they cut to the plane where Kendra was shown but before showing her they showed a presumably empty cargo bay. Kendra might be there to throw Buffy off. She wouldn't expect someone that is also a slayer and although has different attitudes works with you to be a danger to Buffy's health. When buffy is not expecting it, especially after saving angel, Kendra will show her true self and attack Buffy. I don't trust Kendra. >> the third one was the trigger happy woman cop ! hmm but i think that there is another enemy coming .. it kinda predictable but i think it is there .... and remember that " the order of toraca " keeps coming and coming until the " target " is eliminated .. it might be that guy willow and oz need to meet - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Nov 1997 11:19:49 -0500 (EST) From: VxDarlaxV@aol.com Subject: Re: BUFFY: mysterious rewind blurb during ep In a message dated 97-11-27 01:58:45 EST, you write: << >i don't know if it was just my tv or what, but when willie came to drag angel >out of the cage, the episode tape visually rewound. it rewound, showing all >the scenes before it and then quickly flashed back to angel and willie. it >was most bizarre. happened in like two seconds. Yep, it cycled back through to the opening credits and then cut back to the scene of Willy dragging Angel out of the sunlight. Believe me, we were freaking over here, too, if only for a few seconds.
