I didn't pay attention to the date so I just said Kristy Swanson. To my surprise, the answer was Natalie Wood. I thought, How could that be? Natalie Wood, I thought, was an old actress who I think already died. Was there a Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie before the one with Kristy Swanson. I always thought Joss made up the concept of Buffy. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? I'm pretty sure we'll see one. I'm interested in seeing how they spoof Willow and Giles. I'm pretty surprised she's doing it though. I wouldn't really think she's a common enough name to do it. If she'd had any formal Slayer training at all, Joyce would have figured out what Buffy was up to by now. Certainly as of _School Hard_, if not sooner. BTW, about the "who was Shakespeare really?" question-- my favorite version of that little exercise is the people who concluded he must have been a woman, because he wrote women so well and knew so much about the details of women's lives. (The same argument has been used for his being a soldier, a lawyer, a noble, etc, etc.) What that theory, in all its variations, ignores is that an observant, intelligent person can believably write characters that are different from himself. As example (ObBuffy!) I present Joss, who is definitely *not* a 17 year old girl, yet manages to write Buffy, Cordelia, and Willow quite believably. Diane E # "Hydrogen.
