Seeing as he's in no condition to kill Angel and I don't think he could get any other vamps to do it for him, the only other option open to him is to make a temporary truce with the slayer to either have her kill Angelus or try and return his soul. Has that happened to anyone else or I'm I just a late bloomer? I have had dreams about vampires, just not the BTVS characters. Anyway, I dreamed that I was in the Library with Giles, Xander, and Willow. We were discussing the fact that a lot more people had gone "missing". They were last seen at this club (I don't recall the name.) Giles wondered where Buffy was and I told him that she had gone to the club undercover. We all race to the club, and catch Buffy performing on stage. Next thing I know, the club owner is digging up a grave. The corpse is in several pieces and everyone who attended the performance had to help put it back together. (Sounds familiar doesn't it?) Anyway, the corpse is bad and tries to kill us but we save the day. I helped out by knowing exactly how to kill the the thing. (We had to trap it in a special room.) Giles was very proud of me and he offered me a position as his assistant. I told him that although I appreciated the offer, I had to go back to my own job. And then I woke up. I know it probably doesn't sound very exciting, but I thought it was so "cool" at the time. See ya. I too think she tortured him purely for the sadistic pleasure of it, the main source of pleasure for the vamps does seem to be sadism (mental and physical), think about how they like to draw their kills out, like a cat with a mouse. But it also appears that they like to be tortured as well (remember what Angel said to Spike about Dru' and foreplay; it also seems to play a strong part in how vamp-family-politics are settled: the Alpha-vamp gets to torture the rest (look how Dru' treated Spike in his wheel chair--mental torture).). Maybe as it is their main (possibly only) source of pleasure, being tortured/bossed around is seen as a positive/loving relationship with those who are more powerful than they are. (Kind of like how receiving only negative attention can lead someone to act out to get more negative attention.) The fact that Spike simply killed (without torturing) the Annointed One (or Buffy's ex-friend with the brain cancer) makes sense in this interpretation, because he just didn't like the little weasel(s), but at the same time his desire to torture Angel and Buffy has tripped him up time and again (fortunately for us ;). - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Feb 1998 16:19:20 -0600 (CST) From: nichole carrette Subject: Re: BUFFY: xander an only child?
