Many times I read spoliers here and on the main list that even I don't know about... I do admit to letting you guys know about which episodes might be on our schedule a couple weeks in advance (with a warning about how this info is subject to change) and I have certainly provided you all with ratings info as well, but I know for a fact that I have not been leaking plot points of upcoming stories or script elements. If Angel's soul is still around as a separate entity from Angelus, communicating with Buffy in her dream, perhaps Angel can come back while Angelus is still around. Angel could come back as a ghost, perhaps one only Buffy can see, and help her against his evil former body. Do Giles and company think Buffy is cracking up, when she says she sees the good Angel. Or instead of a ghost, how about as a literal angel, sent to help Buffy? The big final fight with Angelus could have Angel helping out against him, and either repossessing his body (angelic possession?), or helping Buffy stake Angelus, after which Angel would continue as a ghost or angel character. And this would make forgiving Angel for what Angelus did easier, if Angel was literally somewhere and someone else than Angelus, and helping out against him.
