I was watching 'Lost In Space' and saw a preview for a new vampire movie with Wesley Snipes. Called Blade. He's the slayer! It's a weird movie, probally nothing like Buffy but it look pretty cool. For the new Juliet Landau movie, "Ravager"...well, I've looked just about everywhere and can't find it. Blockbuster won't carry it, and none of the video stores in my area will either. Does anyone know if anyone carries it or will be carying it? I want see the movie (despite the bad reviews) and would appreciate it if anyone could tell me how I could get a copy. People who > make > comments like that should really calm down and get a life. Telling others to "calm down and get a life" and calling them "immature" *is* insulting. I would to issue a clarification, and register an objection: 1) I said, "what part of perfect is it that you don't like?" This was a challenge to Jack's assertion that Alyson is a terrible actor, and that Willow is offensive. It was a request for specific objections. I did *NOT* say, "what part don't you understand?" (which would have been insulting to Jack's understanding, rather than just a challenge to his opinion of Willow) Both his statements and mine were obviously subjective evaluations of Willow's merits, and neither were his comments directed at insulting the list, nor were my comments directed at insulting Jack. He is very much entitled to state his opinion, and I am entitled to state that I disagree. I am even entitled to exaggerate, if I like, in expressing admiration for Willow... 2) I object to having my comment lumped with someone else's suggestion that Jack "should be shot." Or with the use of implied obscenity. I agree that violent and "expletive-deleted" suggestions are not appropriate, and I made no violent or obscene comment, just a challenge to Jack's opinion. So get out of here!" ~Nick's mom - - - - ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Apr 1998 20:59:44 EDT From: LilyRei Subject: Re: BUFFY: The whole Willow thing, Angel's soul when he returns <> I second that. Angel needs to have a fully developed personality, not just all brooding or all evil. I DON'T want him to be a doormat for Buffy and company. If they can deal with Oz the werewolf, they can certainly deal with "souled" Angel. That is, not be royal pains about what Angel without soul did. NO, I am not saying that they should overlook everything that has happened, but that they put things in proper perspective, and behave accordingly. Xander didn't kill a person when he was hyena possessed, but he attacked Buffy and threatened other people. And he was extremely cruel and hateful to Willow--which I would not have forgiven so easily had I been her. If other people have been forgiven their possessed actions, I think Angel should be forgiven as well. But if they want to be totally unreasonable, he should tell all of them where to get off and be ready to BACK it up. Turning the other cheek only gets you slapped harder (so says Duncan MacLeod) and I think Angel has been slapped enough. The bunnies! Plus he tried to kill Cordelia and Xander. OF course it wasn't his fault and he doesn't feel too bad so why should Angel. Okay Angel killed some people. But he's just as unresponsible for Angelus' actions as Oz is when he's in werewolf form. <> Which is why I think Xander and Oz should be Angel's chief defenders when he gets his soul back. They should know what it's like to not be in control of your actions and try to harm people they care about. Xander would have helped kill Flutie in the Pack, and he killed that poor little pig!Xander said he could get inside the werewolf's head, why shouldn't he also comprehend that what has happened isn't Angel's fault? I think Oz would but Xander's too petty. I'm not saying that Angelus' actions should be forgotten, I'm just saying that those things should not be dumped on Angel. He's probably going to torture himself about it more than any of them ever could, anyway. I really wish he wouldn't because it's old. I have too many thoughts.
