But whenever a friend or aquaintance mocks me for it I MAKE them watch a couple of episodes before they judge me any further. I have no problem with someone not liking the show, but I'll only listen to their criticisms until they've at least WATCHED an episode for chrissakes. I don't know about you but ever since the fourth installment of the Halloween series (and it came out when I was ten) very few Horror movies scare me any more I do however think that in the last few years Scream is the cream of the crop of these particularly weak 90's movies that try and pass themselves off as Horror. Unfortunately I haven't seen Scream II (but since it is apparently going back to the big screen I will make it a priority) so I can't argue about it but I own the original and must give the makers alot of credit for making a horror movie that is so unique and since SMG is in the second one it can't be that bad. I agree.Giles and jenny had a very serious relationship and it hasn't been that long since Jenny has died. Also Giles and Joyce ahve no chemistry.Buffy would also object to this as the rest of the Scooby gang.Buffy doesn't want anyone with her mother, this new couple thing would only destroy the realtionship between Buffy and Giles and the others would think that he hasn't mourned long enough to do that. I admit, when she first told me about it, I was skeptical---thought it would be lame. But I was soooo pleasantly surprised and now I love it. He’s a Keeper Buffy star Nicholas Brendon has killer looks – and he’s no slouch in the decorating department either. Every day, Nicholas Brendon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has to climb 53 steps to get to the door of his 1920s Spanish-style duplex – but the payoff is worth the hike. The lights of Los Angeles are spread out below him, and when the wind is right, music drifts up from the Hollywood Bowl. “This place is like the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland,” the 26-year-old says, a reference only a Los Angeles native would make. Growing up, the Brendon boys – Nicholas, his identical twin, Kelly, and two younger brothers – were all sports fanatics. Brendon’s hopes of a career in major-league baseball were squelched when he injured his arm as a teenager, and he decided to pursue his “second dream,” acting. For the next seven years, he did commercials by day and waited tables by night. He got an emotional push when he was fired from his job as production assistant on the sitcom Dave’s World; his boss’s final words were “You should be acting.” Four months later, he was cast as Xander, Buffy’s sidekick on the WB’s surprise hit show. The handsome actor has little in common with his unlucky-in-love character. In real life, he lives with his steady of two years, actress Wendy Thompson, and their dog, Zoey. He has put together his eclectic apartment with an unusual amount of enthusiasm and ingenuity for a guy his age. “When you have a place like this, why go out?” he says. “I have a stereo, a TV, books, rocking chairs everywhere, my dog, and my best friend here. I’m a happy man.” –Amanda Rudolph. Photo Credits: Robert Trachtenberg SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT “I like danger,” Brendon says jokingly about the glass lantern that dangles over his natural pine sleigh bed, bought at Haven. Although the room retains its original tile floor, there was no door; Brendon hung a burgundy curtain in the doorway instead. COOKING LIGHT Brendon bought this old-fashioned gas range from the previous tenant, who found it at a flea market. Although still in good working order, lighting it has led to a few singed eyebrows and eyelashes. The oven turns out perfect Christmas cookies, but these days he and his girlfriend are on a sushi kick. DESK SET Brendon found the traditional office desk at Used Stuff II on Melrose Avenue, and had its black paint stripped off – “The exposed-metal look is in,” he says. The perfect accessory: Zoey, a stray that neighbors found hanging around Hollywood High, where kids were feeding him gum; Brendon took one look at the mutt and brought him home. The actor finished the walls himself; he created the effect here with a damp paintbrush and a special roller from the Ralph Lauren paint collection. TABLE TALK Inspired by the fresh simplicity of apartments on TV-studio sets, Brendon brightened the dining area with a wash of periwinkle paint, which is echoed in the Indian cotton rug. His shopping principles: Never be afraid to bargain when you’re buying more than one piece; and when you like it, buy it. The glass-and-wrought-iron table, an impulse purchase from a local store, sits lightly on the blond wood floors. As for the leopard-print-covered chairs, Brendon is quick to add that “they came that way.” EASY LIVING Brendon, a “huge rocking-chair fan” – he has five – prefers this springy vintage chair, re-covered in velvet. The carved wooden console is Indonesian. Brendon, a jazz enthusiast, purchased the portrait of Louis Armstrong, painted by a Los Angeles artist DRAMATIC TOUCH “The earthquake was good to me,” Brendon says. “People were leaving in droves, but since I was born and raised in L.A., I had nowhere to go.” Except to numerous garage sales, where “stuff was being given away.” Among his finds was this unintentionally Buffy-ish sconce, which he picked up for $10. == Amiee The Babe Known as Xander: http://www.buffy.org/thebabe/ "And the Francie-Brady-Not-a-Bad-Bastard-Anymore Award goes to -- Great God, I think it's Francie Brady." - The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
