I hope it gets more people lovin' the show as much as we do! If only people would give it a chance, they would realize how awesome it is. LOL...I like the quote at the end about how 'Seinfeld' didn't have Buffy, and how Buffy wasn't like 'Seinfeld'. I can see it now: Buffy goes on a routine hunt in her brand new puffy shirt and the vampires are laughing too hard at her to actually fight. Then Snyder starts a resturant and is such an a@@hole that he gains the nickname: Soup Nazi. Willow gets to pissed at him she steals his recipies and puts him out of buisness; thus seeking revenge for his cruel ways during her high school years. Soon after Willow gets a job at the J. Peterman Co. writing for the cataloge but doesn't get to go to Africa with him to see the Bushman because of the opium found in her UA, even though she frantically tries to tell him it was because of the poppy seed muffin she ate earlier. Cordelia changes her name to one that happens to rhyme with that of a female body part and angrily dumps Xander when he can't remember what it was. Xander has the magical idea for a new book: The Coffee Table Book, a book about coffee tables. It is such a success that he gets a guest spot on 'Regis and Kathy Lee'. On the show, he takes a drink of the water and suddenly spits it out all over the hosts. His book fails miserably, and he goes into business with Giles to make a bra for all those men out there who have breasts. When they argue continuously over the name, (should it be called the 'Bro' or the 'Manzere'?) it all goes haywire and they decide to quite. Then one day the gang decides to have a contest. Who is the Master of Their Domain? The King of the County? The Queen of the Castle? There could be sooooo many possibilites!!! :) ~*Sara*~ "Hello cutie" -Spike "Dru bagged a slayer? The only other person I can (and DO) talk to about "Buffy" is my sister. But even she isn't as much into the show itself than I am. I really need to find some people to hang with on Tuesday nights. But no one is convinced the show is good quality TV..(sigh). Still, you guys suffice just fine :) However, in our school newspaper (I'm a U. of Georgia student..Go Dawgs!), there was another "Buffy" buff who wrote an article about the show. I'm hoping this'll make some of the unwatchers, watchers (not the in the "Giles" sense): "SEINFELD" BUFF PICKS NEW SHOW by Doug Gillett You may remember last week I spent 15 inches paying tribute to "Seinfeld" and wondering what I was going to do after the show's final episode aired on May 14. Well, I may have found a solution to the problem and sooner than I thought. "Seinfeld" was my all-time favorite show, and its departure left me searching for a completely NEW favorite show. But that task has been completed, and it's all thanks to a girl named Buffy. My new favorite TV show is-(drum roll, please): "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer"...For those of you who've been holed up on the space station Mir for the last few months, "Buffy" is about a high school student who's the one from her generation entrusted with the task of killing vampires, keeping them from taking over the world. This is convenient for her, as her hometown is near a "hellmouth" (the place from which all vampires spring), so the task doesn't require a long commute. But vampires aren't her only problem--Buffy also has to contend with child-murdering demons, evil robots, humanoid sea creatures and all sorts of other supernatural beings that officially qualify as "yucky." That's in addition to high school principal whose Nazi-esque behavior is remarkably simialr to...uh, MY high school principal's Nazi-esque behavior/ It's just fun to watch. It's funny, it's got plenty of action and the special effects are actually pretty special. I like the idea of a girl who kicks a$$--often literally. Of course, it helps that the girl who plays Buffy, Sarah Michelle Gellar, is quite possibly the dopest, finest, most amazing girl in the world. I fully recognize I'll probably never get to meet her in real life. The problem is, I see her everywhere--and not just on the cover of magazines. There's this girl I see all the time at the [O'House] Dining hall who could be her identical twin. Some people tell me to just forget it and get on with what I call a life. Others tell me I should keep the dream alive. My friend, Anna, for instance, suggested I contact her over the Internet or through a fan club. To me, that bore a suspiciously unbalanced, "Taxi Driver" taint at first, but now it doesn't seem quite so bizzare. I mean, I've got nothing to lose...except for five to 10 years of my freedom. But there is plan B. This winter, she's going to be starring in a film called "Cruel Inventions." I've been assured if we get to do interviews for the movie that I'm welcom to interview Buffy, er, Sarah if I want. Even if that never happens, I've still got Tuesday nights at 8 on the WB (my friends know that calling me between 8 and 9 on Tuesdays will bring them a world of pain). I mean, don't get me wrong--"Buffy" is still a kick-a$$ show, and I'd probably watch it even if [SMG] wasn't on it. But she is the gravy, I'll admit. Of course, none of this is to say that "Buffy" is another "Seinfeld." After all, it doesn't have puffy shirts, the Soup Nazi, or Kramer sliding through doors unannounced. Then again, "Seinfeld" didn't have Buffy. ============================================================= "'Something weird is going on.' Had the strenght to kiss the one she truely loved goodbye in front of=20 that precipice and then send "him" there? A girl who had to seal the one door which would end existence as we knew it and save the world. And it is a world which killed the only friend who knew Buffy's=20 predicament being a slayer, nearly killed her all friends, expelled her=20 from school, forced her to leave home and what remained of her family,=20 made her a fugitive of the Sunnydale Police and left her nothing but the=20 clothes on her back and a small brown bag. She didn't even have a driver license or credit card! Where will she go?= =20 Where will she live? Sleep? Did she keep Ang's ring? Did she take her Mr. Gordo? She didn't even=20 take her pillow! =20 What a constitution this slayer must have. And no watcher to guide her. Just a thought. :=B7} tr tron302@ix.netcom.com "Painful, isnt't it."
