Isn't there ALWAYS someone in every class whether it be Science, Math, Computers, etc. who is just superior to everyone else in that class. In my high school, there was a guy in Advanced Math (Trigonometry and Calculus) who knew more than the teacher. Several times in fact, the teacher would call on him for help. Since grades were given on a curve, he had to be given an A+ because his scores were so high. He usually finished all the tests first, did the extra credit problems and then sat back and relaxed. On the SAT's he got a 1599 out of 1600 and he knew which question he missed! In any case, with teachers being so overburdened and under-appreciated, I know there are lots of them out there who would love to have a Willow in their class. funee _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. I don't think I'll post all my favorites at one time, but spread them over a few e-mails so I can simmer over the awesomeness of the BEST SHOW EVER!!!!! Right now, I'm simmering over the two most awesome, most powerful things I've ever beheld in a fictional tv episode, both of which occurred in Becoming Part 2. First off, the edge in Buffy's voice as she replied to Angelus' taunting inquiry ("So, Slayer. No friends ... no Watcher ... no hope. What DO you have?" - that's a paraphrase). "Me." Wow. Can you feel the love tonight, baby! It wasn't that impressive a line in and of itself, but her intensity as she said that one word and caught his sword between her hands was incredible. It's like, you know, Angelus was about to end it all, right? And she was apparently defenseless. She didn't have anything else, did she? Yet, no ... she had HER. (yeah, I know, awesome grammar there, Matt) It was like this utter triumph for the human race. When we're so defeated, we have seemingly NOTHING else, it's our humanity that enables us to survive. Ain't it beautiful? And the other Uber-Moment was when she stabbed him. Was I the ONLY one who TOTALLY DID NOT SEE THIS COMING? I was awed. Need I even say why? Every true Buffy fan knows the accumulation of emotions that must have surged behind that lunge of the sword. "Close your eyes ..." It was incredible. Now... take into consideration Giles speech about vampires being inherently bad in "Angel" and Buffy's layman's summary of turning into a vampire (a demon sets up shop in your body and it may walk like you and talk like you, but it is not you speech to Ford in the Sunset Club) during "Lie To Me." Okay here is the question: With all of this said... Buffy logically should have been an "evil vamp Buffy," right? In "Nightmares" Buffy seemed to be just regular ol' Buffy, but with, as Spike would say, "wrinklies." So what is up? Shouldn't she have lost her soul? Theoretically she would have been feeding on Giles, Willow, and Xander instead of warning them of her impending vampiric hunger. What are your guys' thoughts on this? Should she have been a nice vamp like Angel or a murderous animal like Angelus? - -lisa _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
