Instead, here's some major points that occured tonight, like what I did last year with Becomming, Part 2. People have been asking me what I think of the episode, because I never say that in my E-Mails. I try not to say one way or the other, in case my opinion was different from others. However, tonights episode was well done, and I really enjoyed it. It was my favourite of all this season, so far. S P O I L E R S P A C E "Faith, Hope, and Trick", Episode 3, Season 3 - - Willow lets us know they're all senoirs, and have college/university next year - - A guy, Scott, asks Buffy out and after a few tries she finally says yes. - - Some new vamps are in town - - A new slayer, Faith, is helping Buffy now - - Xander has a crush on Faith, he keeps talking about her nude stories - - Buffy is readmitted to Sunnydale - - Buffy tells Giles & Willow about Angel, and what happened - - Buffy appears to be over Angel, she goes to the mansion and lays down the ring he gave her, walks away. The rung shakes, and suddenly Angel drops down onto the ground, wearing nothing. He looks around, shocked. Sorry about that, I'll try to clear my homework schedule for next week. It's a great episode, especially the ending where Angel reappears. - ----------------- Jeff Reid - Virtual Ventures Volunteer at Carleton University root@Snuffles.dyn.ml.org -=- jeff@Snuffles.dyn.ml.org Picard (#2) at SpaceMOO: telnet://spacemoo.ml.org:6789 Owner of the Onelist Earth: Final Conflict mailing list (earthfc) Owner of the Onelist Stargate mailing list (stargate) - - ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Oct 1998 21:10:43 -0500 From: Lisa Subject: BUFFY: Become a Keeper!! Isn't the normal way for them to screw things up is to get the curse idea wrong, and say that Angel turned evil when he had a gypsy curse placed on him? I seem to recall reading this in numerous pieces. Of course, I also remember that David Boreanaz himself didn't exactly get things right in his appearance on Rosie O'Donnell. >And I loved this quote: >"[Whedon] adds that he pitched the series concept to the network >because he realized there was so much more to explore with the >character." OK, this is going to stray offtopic, but speaking of pitches, I came across this wire service story about Party of Five's Jennifer Love Hewitt. I think it speaks volumes of how differently things work for people who are the "it" thing of the moment: >"Party of Five" star Jennifer Love Hewitt's next project is a real dream. >It's called "Cupid's Love," a romantic comedy about a wedding planner >who falls for the groom. Overall, I will be interested in seeing the way in which they deal with college and career choices. We haven't had much (any?) mention of this since What's My Line. I did undergraduate in Canada so I never wrote SAT's or applied to American schools, but shouldn't these people be doing these things at any point now? I'm willing to suspend disbelief on all the monster stuff, but I hope they deal with these education issues realistically. I'll be a little bit disappointed if all of a sudden next spring we learn they're all (minus LA bound-Cordelia -- boo hoo) just moving across town to Sunnydale College, which conveniently needs a new librarian. Let's face it, we've seen no indication that Xander is college material. I remember him handing in a paper in BB&B and praying for a sweet D-. Anyway, let's just say I was not expecting what happened at the end. I knew Angel was coming back at some point but I wasn't sure how (and I sure wasn't expecting him to come back in the buff!) I'm really happy he's back, I am one of those Angel/Buffy 'shippers and I did like Bad Eggs a lot because from reading this list I knew he would be losing his soul pretty darn quick. Also when I first heard of a Angel spinoff I was sort of pissed off I didn't think it would be very good, but now I'll just wait and see. And Poor Scott, well he was rejected several times but he kept on a kickin, well at the end when Buffy asked him to go to that Buster Keaton thing I was worried that he would say that he already asked Faith or something like that, but luckily that didn't happen! I do keep pondering something, in this episode there were a lot of opportunities for what Xander didn't tell Buffy to come out, but it didn't, now I'm just wondering now how it will come out. Also I do agree that Oz as well as Xander have both been the ones to give the "Xander" quips as of late, I don't mind it, I think Oz is great. But I am just wondering if the spoilers I have heard are true and Xander and Willow do some major smooching in the future how Oz will be affected (well ya he would be hurt). Then tonight, during Halloween, it showed up in the girls bathroom when Buffy & Willow were looking over the watcher diary, and again on the locker above where Oz was fiddling with his guitar when Cordelia walked up in her cat costume. It's probably shown up other times as well, but these are just the ones I've noticed in the last 24 hours. So the question is, what does the WP stand for? Willow's Place? Whedon Productions?
