We have to get used to reruns or get more episodes made! You figure a show makes 22 episodes a year. The season starts the end of September and goes until May. Much more than 22 weeks. Figure in the November sweeps then the May sweeps and you have reruns in the middle. I hate it, but that's the way it is. I wonder if they'll show the ones they didn't rerun last summer? Now, the apocalypse was in the very first ep. right? So, are you saying that Cordy would have already been dead by this time so she could never have gone to the party? If that's what you're saying then that's what I've been trying to get across. Whether Buffy came or not Cordelia would ultimately face danger. That is what the episode the Wish is about. Notice how Willow and Xander turn into vamps. The point of the episode is to show Cordelia how lucky they all are that Buffy came to Sunnydale. Yes, they're lives have been put in danger, but they would have whether Buffy had come or not. And since she has come they are able to defend themselves better and she is able to save their lives every once in a while so they don't turn into vamps or die. - - ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Dec 1998 23:43:26 EST From: CherryRed6@aol.com Subject: BUFFY: nick appearance *nick's on howie mandel on thurs.! mark your calendars...the third of dec. :) - - ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 02 Dec 1998 00:09:35 -0500 From: JW Subject: BUFFY: Wanda from Eonline *Spoilers* Below are some comments about Buffy from Wanda on Eonline. Beware there are spoilers S P O I L E R S Any news on "The Wish" episode of Buffy? You pretty much know it all. Willow and Xander become a virtual twin set of Spike and Dru (bonus: Alyson and Nicholas in leather), and Angel is tortured by Willow. You probably saw on the preview how she's petting him like a puppy. ALL the Buffy scoop! All right. First off, we're going to meet Xander's family, and they're way dysfunctional. You'll finally understand what kind of person would name their kid Xander and how our favorite sarcastic kid turned out the way he did. What's the scoop with the Buffy Christmas ep? Okay, here's the drill. There's a lot of flashbacks about Angel's life. (Get ready to see and hear from some old faces--yes, Miss Calendar is supposedly returning.) The catch is that he thinks it's all a dream, but Buffy is in the dream and she's dreaming the same thing, so it's actually real. Anyway, Angel is going crazy with all these voices in his head. The "bad guy" in the dream tells him that to be healed he must kill Buffy. Angel attempts to kill Buffy to make the pain go away, but he can't do it and decides to kill himself instead with the light from the sun. Buffy comes to talk him out of it--it's a great, romantic scene--and then, boom, the sun disappears and it starts to snow. - - ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 00:21:01 EST From: JHaubr3805@aol.com Subject: Re: BUFFY: Hold on a sec. . . >>She never says thank you, because she honestly believes that she is only put in danger because of who she hangs out with.>> I think Cordy is getting a bit of a bad rap here. I just finished watching a movie called "The Night Before" starring Keanau Reeves (sp?) and Lori Laughlin. It's the story of how this loser geek gets to take the local miss perfect to the prom after she loses a bet. Along the way they get lost and stop in a bar in the worst part of town where he gets drugged ad ends up selling her to the nastiest pimp in town. The movie starts after this has happened with him waking up in an alley with amnesia and the first half is him remembering what happened. I should also mention that her dad is this psycho cop with a .44 Magnum. After he remembers what happened the rest of the movie is his wacky adventures as he tries to find her(it is a comedy by the way). The about halfway through (2:00 AM I should tell you) it suddenly hit me "OH MY GOD!!! It's Xander and Cordy!!!" the stars even look sort of like Nick and Charisma. Whether you like those guys or not it is a good movie and, for what it's worth, I highly recommend it. Now for something completely different ,and disgustingly enough, actually both relevant and relatively coherent. I think the reason Cordy isn't dead, even though maybe she should be, in "The Wish" is because she is the one the who made the wish so she has to be there to have made it. It's sort of one of those time travel problems, you know like what if you could go back in time and kick your grampa's butt at checkers and he was so embarrassed he never asked gramma out. Overnight ratings are based on viewing in only 44 of the largest television markets, not the nation as a whole. A repeat of Felicity received a pretty abysmal 3.3 rating/5 share in the hour after Buffy, down from a 4.5/7 for a first-run episode last week. That 4.4/7 sounds bad, but it's actually higher than the numbers that some of the repeats were pulling at the end of last season. And Felicity didn't help things. Given that The WB was quick to act to prop up the failing Hyperion Bay, how much longer will they leave Felicity alone? (Of course, given that the network's answer was to bring Carmen Electra into Hyperion Bay, maybe we'll get Jenny McCarthy as Felicity's new roommate.)
