Willow and Oz are together, and Xander and Cordy are still hiding their secret utility closet rondevu's. This is going to be a long story, and will take some time so be patient with me. Joyce sobbed. “Buffy! He is going to kill you! You have to get out of here!” Hope looked at Joyce. < Even she thinks I’m Buffy > “It’s okay, Joyce. He isn’t going to kill me.” Joyce sat up straight, a confused expression formed on her face. Hope looked at Angel. “You are quite the unobservant one.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” He growled. His face changed into his demonic form. “You’ll find out in good time,” she answered. “You know, I’m getting sick of this small talk,” Angel said, advancing toward her. Hope sniffed the air. “Do you smell that?” She asked, looking behind Angel. “Smell what?” He growled. “I smell Sex and Candy,” she said. Angel looked at her, confused. He turned around to see what was behind him. Hope looked up and saw an old rafter that used to be part of the church. Grabbing it, she swung with both feet into his back, making him fly forward onto his face. “You know? The song?” He swiftly stood up and before he could react, she kicked his face with a roundhouse, and followed up with several punches and another kick. Angel grabbed her by the throat and lifted her into the air, choking her. “Deja vu,” he whispered. Hope smiled and grabbed his arm. She swung her feet high into the air, grabbing his head between her legs. With a quick twist, he landed on the ground, letting go of her neck. Angel scrambled to his feet, and lunged at her. Hope ducked, and pushed him into the hard rock wall. She grabbed an old piece of wood from the ground and used it as a shield as Angel tried to punch her. Hope hit him over the head with it. He fell to his knee, but got back up. She hit him with it again and he fell to his other knee, but quickly got up again. She hit him a third time and he staggered again. Angel grabbed the wood from her and hit her in the side with it, causing her to stumble sideways. She gave him a hard punch to the face, and tried again, but he blocked it and hit her in the face, sending her into the wall behind her. Barely phased, she kicked him in the face as he tried to grab her. He swung at her, but missed. She punched him in the gut. She swung again, but he blocked her punch, and back handed her hard. She landed on the ground with a thud. Hope scrambled to her feet, and stood in her fighters position. Angel stood a few feet away from her, doing the same. Both staring each other down, not wanting to lose eye contact. Hope did a flip over Angel, landing behind him. She kicked him with all of her might, and he lunged forward, crashing into a column. It toppled over, breaking to pieces as it hit the ground. The candles on top of it fell into the pond. He got back up and grabbed her, throwing her across the room. She landed against the wall with a thud, then fell to the ground. She forced herself to stand up, despite the pain in her body. Angel stared at her, his eyes growing wide with immense Anger. “Your not Buffy,” he hissed, baring his yellow fangs. Hope smiled. “I told you you were unobservant.” Angel advanced toward her and grabbed her by the neck. He lifted her body up high in the air and threw her at the wall with all of his strength. Hope’s head collided with the hard rock and she was knocked unconscious. An ominous laugh emerged from Angel as he stared at her limp figure. He bent down to grab her but stopped to hear a loud wail emerge from the doorway. He looked up to see Xander and Giles staring at him and Hope. He stood up and grabbed Xander, slamming him into the wall. “You shouldn’t have come here, boy,” Angel snarled, his yellow eyes glaring. “But hey, I guess this means I don’t have to hunt you down,” he laughed, leaning his mouth into Xander’s neck. “Let him go, dead boy,” a voice called from the passageway. Xander and Angel looked to see Buffy standing behind him. The vampire dropped the boy and turned to face the Slayer. She pulled out a stake from her back and tapped it gently in her palm. “You shouldn’t have tricked me,” Angel said. “And you shouldn’t try to kill my friends,” she said, and swung at him. He ducked it quickly, and laughed. She tried a direct thrust, which Angel just pushed aside, but she followed it up with a punch to the face from her other hand and used her momentum to spin around for a roundhouse kick, knocking him down. Buffy charged at him with the stake held above her head in both hands. He blocked her charge with his arms and twisted her arms down, forcing her to drop the stake, and shoved her into a wall. He tried to knock her legs out from under her, but her footing was firm and she kicked him in the back, knocking him down instead. Once down he tried kicking again and this time made her fall. She grabbed his hair, pulled him up a bit and kicked him in the face. They both scrambled to their feet. Angel swung and missed. He swung the other way, but she blocked it and punched him three times in the gut and then a right hook to his jaw. Buffy and Angel stood, staring at each other. Both were tired, but were in no mood to quit fighting. She looked into his eyes, searching for his lost soul, trying not to remember that he was Angel, that he was her love. “What happened to you, Angel?” She dared to ask him. He smiled. “The best thing possible,” he sneered. “I’m the Master. And your dead,” he said, and lunged at her. He grabbed her hair and pulled her toward him. She kicked him in the stomach, and dug her fingernails into his hand. He released his grip on her and held his hand out in front of him. Opening his palm, he froze her body and her mind. Twisting his hand, she slowly walked toward him, not in control of her body. Her mind flashed back to the Master. < Move Buffy! > She screamed at her self. Frozen with fear, she watched Angel stand behind her, gently grabbing her shoulders. “It’s too bad it has to end this way,” Angel said, laughing. “But I’m sure glad it did. I really give you kudos for trying, though.” He brushed her hair from her neck and slowly lowered his mouth to her neck. Buffy panted hard with fear. She could feel his hot breath on her neck. He gently pierced her skin, drawing a hint of blood. As he gently took a sip, Hope slowly awakened. She stared at the image in front of her, trying to clear her head. < This can’t be happening > She thought, and her vision focused on Angel sucking the life out of Buffy. Hope watched in horror, struggling to get up. Giles ran toward Angel, but the vampire put his hand up and opened his palm. The Watcher’s body flung backwards and hit the wall. Giles groaned in pain. < I love you, Angel > Buffy thought, as her head began to feel light. She slowly opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out. Angel fed from Buffy, drinking her blood, savoring the taste of the warm liquid on his tounge. Her eyes slowly closed. Her skin grew pale and her body slumped in his grip. Angel, Buffy’s only love, dropped her lifeless body on the ground. He licked his lips and looked at her three friend’s horrified faces and gloated. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - - ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 06 Apr 1998 17:33:00 PDT From: "Sara Barton" Subject: BUFFYFIC: Hope (45/45) Author: Sara B. He couldn’t stop thinking about it. < This is truly amazing. Gayle’s great grandfather had been a Watcher, and her grandmother’s great aunt was a Slayer > He rubbed his aching temples and gulped down a large glass of water. < They knew about the prophecy all along. Hope was destined to save Angel, and was also destined to die > < Then she disappeared. Right in Xander’s arms > It was an amazing thing for Giles to see. In his lifetime, he had come across many odd and unnatural beings, but never had a mortal just disappear. But then, Hope wasn’t a mortal. *There is something you don’t know about Hope* Gayle said. *What? What is it?* Giles asked. *She is immortal.* Giles had been so shocked at this information he had nearly fallen off the sofa. Hope was immortal. An immortal Slayer. If she hadn’t risked her own life to save Angel’s, she would have died. It was the goodness in her that gave her immortality. < Well all thought she had died. Buffy wept for her...her feeling of guilt is overwhelming. She will be so happy to find Hope is alive > The smile on Giles’ face turned into a frown. < Or will she? Will her mourning over Angel affect her greatly? Will she be able to continue her slaying abilities? > He began to feel distress over this, worrying that Buffy would be too grief stricken to deal with anything. < Her love for Angel was never questionable. Her feelings were loud and clear. She loved him with all of her heart and soul. Poor Buffy, she is too young to have to deal with this...to young to have so much responsibility > Giles stood up and walked to his window. Pulling back his curtains, he stared into the night sky. < So much has happened in the past two days. All our lives have been changed. Forever. Will Buffy be able to get past his death? She is incredibly strong for her age. A maturity well beyond her sixteen years. Out of all the slayers I have read about, she has been the most incredible of them all. She survived death, the most dangerous opponent of all. The one thing that Buffy can’t fight > Giles took a deep breath and sauntered away from the window. He turned off the lights and locked his door, breathing a sigh of relief at the fact that vampires couldn’t come in unless they were invited. He walked to his bedroom, and changed into a pair of pajamas. Slipping beneath the covers of his bed, he pulled out his Watcher diary and wrote about the past two day’s events. ***** “Goodnight, Mom. I love you,” Buffy said to Joyce before entering her room. Angel trailed close behind at her feet. “Goodnight, Buffy. I love you too. Sleep tight...don’t let the bed bugs bite,” Joyce said from the hall. Buffy laughed. “More like don’t let the vampires bite.” Joyce raised her eyebrow. “Are you sure vampire’s can’t come in unless they are invited?” “Positive,” Buffy replied. “So don’t invite anyone in the house after dark. That is unless I am here.” Nodding, Joyce walked to her bedroom. “Sweet dreams, I’ll see you in the morning. Goodnight, Angel.” Angel meowed loudly, and Buffy smiled. “Thanks for letting me keep him,” she said. “Your welcome,” she responded, grinning in joy at her daughter’s seemingly happy mood. < If that little kitten makes her feel better, than he is more than welcome! > Buffy closed her bedroom door. She walked to her closet and changed into boxers and a T-shirt. Angel hopped up onto her bed, curling up on a cozy blanket. Buffy took off her necklace and rings, placing them next to her bed. She strolled over to her window, and ran her fingers along the sill. “Good-bye, Angel,” she whispered, closing her curtains. Picking up the leather jacket he gave her, she pulled back the covers and crawled into bed. Angel stirred and bounced to her, nudging her face. She let him cozy up to her. Buffy watched the kitten bathe himself, and smiled. Rolling over onto her back, she pulled her comforter up to her neck. Buffy sighed heavily. “I’m going to miss you so much,” she whispered, letting the tears flow freely from her eyes. She sniffled, feeling her empty heart tighten. She grasped the jacket tightly, weeping...her tears wetting her face and pillow. Closing her eyes, she imagined him. His smile, his laugh, his smell, his voice, his eyes. Before long, her body relaxed and her weeping stopped. The tight grip she had on her jacket lessened as she drifted off into a deep sleep, into a dream world were she and her love could be together for eternity. Angel sat up, and hopped off Buffy’s bed. He trotted across her floor to her window. Jumping up onto the sill, he sat, watching the Slayer sleep. Her small body illuminated by the soft light of the moon. He watched over her protectively...as he had done so many times before. EL FIN FEEDBACK FEEDBACK!!!!!!!!!!!
