Hay look Andy! - --part1_163.1943dc26.2b40920f_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit JC, I have a number of lists which I used differently. The WatchList is a list of stocks that are doing well from an RS perspective and have outstanding fundies. This list has a long term outlook and stocks may be on the list for a long time before a sound base forms (especially in a bear market). Stocks do not make this list based on any technical analysis other than an RS over 70 which tells me that the market is confirming my fundamental analysis. I do place stocks with low average volume on this list at many will suddenly start trading 100,000 shares a day (which is a great buy signal). I look at the charts of these about once a week and anything that is forming a nice base is placed on the BuyList. I evaluated volume characteristics manually and do not have and filters for this. I also have a SRvsGR list (similar to IBD 80x80 lists). If we do get into a bull market I will look for nice bases from this list if none of my outstanding fundie stocks are ready to be bought. I also use this list to find new outstanding fundie stocks to add to my WatchList. I also use IBDs screen-of-the-day lists to find outstanding stocks to add to my WatchList. I have a number of lists which I used differently.

I see from your sheet, you show average volume such as Katherine does.  You have a scoring system on your personal cryteria.  I'm guessing that Katherine sticks with her forward growth > 15%, Price > $6, Average Daily Volume > 30, RS >60, < 15% Below 50 day MA, > (above) 200 day MA.  Then does she manually look at each and every stock on a chart to see if it has a proper base?  Is this what you do too?  You don't have as many stocks in your list, and I haven't tried to examine their charts to see if you picked these because of their bases.
