HI jans, My only recollection of statistics on cups with high handles is that they appear less frequently than cups with handles formed lower (though still in the upper half of the base) but as to their success rate in comparison, I really don't know. I wouldn't necessarily conclude that patterns with high handles were "stronger"...just that they didn't pause and refresh as *soon* as the more "standard" handles did. Regardless, it's the shakeout in the handle on low volume and a breakout above the pivot that shows the stock is ready to move onward and upward. As long as the handle is above the midpoint and is sound and the breakout is on volume, all the technical signals are in place that indicate the stock is ready to break the resistance at the left side of the cup. Katherine: I'm reading these Canslim E-mails sequentially, so you may have already answered (which, in that case, I'll read it soon); however, if you haven't answered Mike's question, I would like to add a wrinkle to it: I've noticed that some cups have hi Right Lips. Are there any statisitics that reveal that these types of cups are stronger (they seem as though-intuitively-they should be) than the normal cups which have higher left lips than right lips. jans In a message dated 1/16/2003 9:15:47 AM Eastern Standard Time, michael_niemotka@baxter.com writes: << My understanding is that you can actually have a handle that forms at a point higher than the left hand of the base. Dammit... if = this isn't=20 one of the politest message boards I subscribe
to. Maybe it's just a nice relief = after=20 reading through 20+ posts with
librarians screaming at each other = about the=20 political correctness of
Martin Luther King day (whatever = THAT has to=20 do with a listserv
supporting = cataloging.......)

Sorry... just = had to=20 comment. I'm also glad you made out on APPX and
look forward to more = posts.

Don't be silly I'm not that sensitive. It only = gave me=20 the opportunity to gloat over APPX. Yes I had a good day, thank you. = Tom, I=20 know were "spell check" is and how to use it. None of my browsers = bring it up,=20 including, Explorer, Word, Word Pad. However I found the solution to = the=20 problem at www.spellcheck.com. Thanks.=20 David

Hi David,

Yes, I do remember you = posting=20 before. Welcome back to the group, I hope
your venture into = retailing was prosperous, certainly it was a good time = to
be doing=20 something besides investing in the markets.

Don't know = what=20 browser you are using, but on mine I just click on Tools = /
Options,=20 then click on the tab for Spilling and check the box for it=20 to
automatically review my speiling (not that I ever make a = miss=20 steak) before
sending an emale.

Hello = CANSLIM=20 subscribers. It just occurred to me that you may not know who = I
am.=20 I used to participate in the discussions quite often as Ari. = Tom=20 Worley
probably remembers me.How you been Tom? The reason = you=20 haven't really heard
from me is I went into the = gas-conveinient=20 (sorry if mispelled no spell
checking)store buisiness in = August of=20 2000. Which is also for the most part
the time I've been = out of " M=20 " , except for all the false rallies we've had
in the mean = time.So=20 I was still keeping one eye on good old " M ". I sold
the = store as=20 of 12/01/02, still have alot of paper work to close=20 out
though.Anyway nice to be back. I'll try to offer my = hubble=20 opinion now and
then if nobody minds.

Ari
P.S. = Spelling=20 is not one of my strong points, anyone know how I can=20 download
"Spell Check" ? Thanks in advance.
