They were an 11 and a 12 year old from Crawley. Robert produced their one and only single at the same time as he recorded the Cult Hero single late in 1979. The 2 songs were Pussy Wussy and Yeh Yeh Yeh. The instruments played were very crude (tupperware drums etc.). The single is nigh on impossible to find but I did have the songs available for download a few months ago from my website, www.asitelikethis.co.uk. The songs are not their anymore but I could be persuaded to reload them if the demand was high enough. There you will find all of the information. For starters I have put the Cure's appearances on Conan O'Brien and MAD TV up there. I have also put the Birthday song which was sung to Simon during the Dream Tour. If there are any requests out there please email me privately. If there is anyone who would like to contribute please let me know. I have a fairly large collection but I still don't have everything. I think there is info in the Chain of Flowers archived news JUNE 11, 1999 and from May 1998. The direct quotes are below. I am very interested in getting a copy of it too. There is some solo stuff by Roger on the website prizmatic.com but it will not download or play. The only other "solo" work that I know of is The Glove but it really was Robert with Budgie. That is not that hard to get a copy of I bought it in the record store if they don't have it in stock they can order it for you. DIRECT QUOTES: June 11, 1999 "I also wanted to call your attention to Prizmatic.com. Prizmatic is the creation of Roger O'Donnell and though it is still a work in progress, it already contains some artwork, photography and best of all, it features 4 tracks (3 in vivo, 1 in mpg) from Roger's forthcoming solo cd entitled "My Days Beyond". Do yourself a favor and check it out, it's some really nice work." Date: 15 Sep 2000 12:59:59 +0100 I don't think many of them have done solo stuff. I know Roger did do a solo album and this was released only in Canada. Any Canadians got a copy? Roger was also the keyboard player for Psycadelic Furs in the 80's before joining The Cure. Simon Gallup's first band was clled LockJaw and they released a single in the late 70's called Radio Call Sign. When Simon had his 'rest' from The Cure between late '82 and '85 he was in a band called Fools Dance and Simon actually sang on one of the songs. An album was released but I can't remember the name off hand. Boris Williams used to drum for The Thompson Twins before joining The Cure. He is now with his new band, Babacar. Lol Tolhurst produced records for And Also The Trees. When he was kicked out of The Cure he formed a band called Presence. They released an album and about 3 singles. Jason Cooper used to drum for My Life Story before joining The Cure. His work can be heard on Mornington Crescent, My Life Story's debut album. Perry, as far as I know was never in a band prior to joining The Cure as he was promoted from Roadie to Band member. Mathieu Hartley was in a band called the Mag-Spies. They had a single out called Bombs in the early 80's. Michael Dempsey joined the Associates after leaving The Cure. Robert Smith provided some backing albums for the Associates album, The Affectionate Punch. Porl Thompson played with Page and Plant after leaving The Cure. He now has his own band, Quietly Torn. Robert has had a few side projects, mainly The Glove with Banshee Steve Severin. He also played life with David Bowie at Bowies 50th Birthday bash. He worked with Reeves Gabrels on A Sign From God under the name COGASM (paul COrkett, reeves GAbrels, robert SMith). Reeves played guitar on the Cure single Wrong Number and Robert played with Reeves Gabrels on the song Yesterday's Gone. Phil Thornalley actually wrote the song Torn which became a recent hit for Natalie Imbruglia. As far as I know Andy Anderson has done nothing musical since leaving The Cure in 1984. I may have missed a couple of people or albums because I'm at work at the moment but I hope this helps. To get more information go to http://www.xmission.com/~marysmth/cure/ and click on MP3 Downloads. The songs available now are from Razor Rare 3. They are as follows: Play For Today - Early version from 1979 rehearsal Siamese Twins - Recorded at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith Feb. 1983 Forever - Outtake from Faith sessions 1981 Hello I Love You - Outtake from the W. Country Sessions 1981 Why Can't I Be You - Vocal demo, Miravel Studios, France 1986 World War - Outtake from 1st album sessions, late 1978 I will over time, put the entire album up for download....if I get more support for this. I don't know if anyone is downloading these mp3's...but I haven't had any requests for future mp3's, nor have I had anyone tell me if they like the whole idea of these mp3's being available. So let me know...if I don't see more support then this will end very soon. ~~*jessie*~ - To unsubscribe to descent, send an email to "majordomo@xmission.com" with "unsubscribe descent" in the body of the message. I have a similar problem. I heard a song and I would really like to know what it is called and who sings it, but I will settle for either one. I only know the chorus and it goes "I've got 1,2,3,4,5 senses working over time," or something like that I would love any help. Please respond privately so everyone who doesn't care don't have to delete the Re: letters. Anyone who is interested let me know. I just needed to know if I had any support. =) I have gotten a request which I, myself, can't fullfill...that is to put the songs by The Obtainers up. I know someone on this list has them and was wondering if that person would be kind enough to either put them up or allow me to put them up. But, there is always Tower Records...which I've never had much luck with. There is also an underground mall on Kensington street. It's a very gothy mall...and one of the stores had a ton of Cure records. I wasn't looking for cd's...but I know they had some cd bootlegs. Anyway, maybe someone else on the list knows exactly what the mall was called and where on Kensington it was located. Also, if you get a chance to visit other places, check out Guildford...really neat little town. Dover is another must see...very beautiful...and there is a really good Italian restaurant in town...don't remember the name so I'm sure I'm not much help. When I do I always find that Camden is very good for records. There are loads of second hand record shops and markets so you should find something of interest. It like Dover only better it is the white cliffs and it is where the Cure filmed a couple of their videos. The town is cute too. I heard there is a place down a bit called seven sisters that is beautiful too. here is a great link to see pictures http://www.nationaltrails.gov.uk/sdowns/sd_facts/beachy.htm. Beachy head is on "south down ways". I found some bootlegs in Camden market in one of the sidewalk malls, go on Saturday it is the best time to go. -----Original Message----- Sent: Thursday, September 21, 2000 11:57 AM I was there two years ago so my memory isn't the greatest.
