Back in 1981 when Faith was released 'Carnage Visors' was offered as a bonus on the cassette only in the same way the Curiosity is a cassette only bonus. CDs did not become popular until around 1986 and that was when The Cure started to release their back catalogue on CD. The CDs did not include the bonus stuff (C. Visors, Curiosity). No acetates would have been made in the factory as CDs were not a media that consumers were interested in and record companies had no desire to work with them.
