The needle is down one clip position from the middle. Yesterday we were riding between about 3000' and 5000' -- I could tell that it was a bit rich at the higher elevations. However, down around 3000-3500', everything seemed just about right. The T-handle idle screw helps -- I had that cranked down to about 1.25 turns at the higher elevations, and opened up to about 2.25 at the lower spots. I could probably drop down to a 135 main for 4000-6000' and be a bit better off. It sounds like you could be running rich at idle and lean when the throttle is opened up. When you do the plug reads, are you killing the engine as the throttle is opened up, or does it idle for a few seconds first? As you may know, you need to hit the kill button after running the bike for a few seconds at the throttle position you're trying to adjust. I hope this helps, Bryan #Visit dr350 archives at http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=dr350 #Subscribe to Dual Sport News...write to Editor@dualsport.org for info. David, Brian, anyone else near Dallas/Ft.Worth area-- I'm gonna put my DR in my 5X8 trailer & do an overnighter in Mena, AR. some time after it gets cool (late Sept/early Oct?). If anyone wants to come along, I'll have room for another bike or two. I know a nice clean $20 motel in Mena that makes a great base to explore from. Ouachita & Ozark mountains are great fun!
