Then the 1997 thru 1999 "S" models came with the non-cushioned one piece hub that are the same as the dirt only DR's 1990 thru 1999, and the sprockets will interchange. Yes, I have also had problems ordering the rear sprockets, as most of the aftermarket catalogs do not show the later DRS models as taking the same sprocket as the Dirt Model. Jesse, were you taking notes? Hope you learned as much as I when we were lying to each other for two days and nights. Norm Suzuki DR Suspensions DR. Steve, I have been using GPS on bikes that I ride on the very back roads and off road in Baja since 1990. I started with a Sony Pyxis, then a Garmin 12, and now a Garmin III, soon to be linked to a Palm IIIx PDA. I have not had any trouble with the vibrations or pounding of a bike, and I use a very rigid mount, not a vibration damped mount like Touratech thinks we need. If you need any more info on GPS on bikes feel free to contact me off list. Hope you learned as much as I when we were lying to each other for two days and nights. Norm have you two guys hooked up with Elden Carl in San Diego yet? The web of our lives is getting closer. Elden and his wife Pauline rode with Tim Bernard of Boise this summer. Elden writes a column for Dual Sport News and typically one half of it has to do with the DR350. He has had Bob Bell of Precision Concepts do some major suspension work but I haven't heard him talk about Norm's links yet. I'd like to get y'all together.. At some point, around 94 I think, the DRS went to the non rubber mounted hub as it was determined that the driveline was plenty strong enough without it. The old cush hub had a smaller bolt pattern and that's why the sprokets won't fit. I just converted a 94 DR with a Baja Kit and originally had the same question as I formerly had a 91 DRS but after looking into it, I am not at all worried about it.
