Seat height is reduced maybe 1/2 inch, or so. I never measured. The gel seat is wider. Cost is $159.95, and IMHO well worth the price. I've done several 100+ mile trail rides W/O discomfort. On a different note if I remember correctly both metcalf and Carniege have more than their share of that glue mud that builds up between the swingarm and rear tire when it is really wet. I have never seen a time when it was too wet or too dry to have good traction at fouts springs though. The only down side is summer time its pretty hot there.
