I don't see anything wrong with having two connections to dragon as long as you are not using either of them for harmful purposes. I can't see any reason to have more than two connections, however. If you have one clone running from the same IP address, that's not a big deal as long as you're not using it to do harm. Hope that cleared things up. If not, feel free to email me back. Subject: (dragon-oper) Fserver Date: 20 Oct 1997 23:51:34 PDT To all the Dragon.Dal.Net staff . I'm writing in to enquire about setting up a fserver in your server. After reading through your policies, there doesn't seem to be anything about fservers therefore before I set one I would just like to know whether it is all right to do so and if so, do I have to register it first. I hope to hear from your side soon. Thanx for taking time to read this. Maximilian T. Wilson @ VR_Darkness p.s. If you need to know the contents and the reason of the fserver, it is basically for mp3s, games, other misc. programs as well as to provide help on general topics ( eg. computers and stuff ) for those who needs them. This fserver would be set in #CyberDomain. Thanx again ! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: drogo@labyrinth.net Subject: (dragon-oper) Re: help Date: 23 Oct 1997 14:49:01 -0400 I digested this message from Marian Washburn at 02:38 PM 10/21/97 -0700: >Hello...I would like to know how to access this channel. I have MIRC and >would like to add you to my list. How would I go about doing that >please? thank you. Marian, dragon.dal.net is not a channel, it is a server. I imagine that's what you're writing about. It should be in the current server address list in mIRC (file/setup/irc servers). If it's not, you can add it by going to setup (file/setup or alt-e), and clicking add. Put in the information for dragon.dal.net (description dragon, servername dragon.dal.net, port 6667 or 7000). You can also connect to dragon.dal.net by typing /server dragon.dal.net 7000. Lastly, we have a channel called #dragonweyr on DALnet (dragon administration channel). If you need assistance once connecting w/dragon, you can drop in. If you need any further assistance do not hesitate to email me. You are welcome to run one extra client (that being your bot), but no more than one. If there is anything else I can help you with just yell.
