Garrett talks about her being closer to his size than Tharpe's in this book. (And then he says some things about page 27 that make me wonder if Winger and Garrett had relations.) I imagined Tharpe to be built like Refridgerator Perry of the Chicago Bears. ======================================================================= To unsubscribe, subscribe, or access the archives of this list, visit . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Changeling Subject: Re: (glencook-fans) A question about Deadly Quicksilver Lies Date: 23 Jul 2001 01:21:17 -0500 (CDT) Winger and Garrett are about the same size. And Saucerhead is huge. I think Shaq would be a better approximation and even that seems smaller than what Garrett says about him. And then there's Playmate who tops out around 9 feet, I seem to recall. And yes, Winger and Garrett have intimate relations throughout the series. -Changeling On Sun, 22 Jul 2001, Troy Lefman wrote: > I'm about 40 pages into this book and want to know: > Isn't Winger about the same size as Saucerhead Tharpe? Maybe she had a touch of giant in her. She was taller than me by an inch. (this makes her 6 foot 3 inches)...In fact, she had nice stuff in all the right places, but she was so damned big. And so uncaringly kempt. And looked so damned hard. Garrett continues by saying she could whip thunder lizards one-handed and looked like an amazon. Am I just making her out to be bigger than she really is? ======================================================================= To unsubscribe, subscribe, or access the archives of this list, visit . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Michele" Subject: Re: (glencook-fans) A question about Deadly Quicksilver Lies Date: 26 Jul 2001 22:08:45 -0400 What I want to know is why Garrett gives the impression she's so huge if she only an inch taller than he is...I never got the feeling that he thinks of himself as other than "average" height. How many of them are well muscled? How many of them are also tough enough to be considered 'one of the guys'? 6'3" is way outside the 'average' range for women....which the last time I checked was around 5'4" (almost a foot less). -----Original Message----- [mailto:owner-glencook-fans@lists.xmission.com]On Behalf Of Michele Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2001 9:09 PM What I want to know is why Garrett gives the impression she's so huge if she only an inch taller than he is...I never got the feeling that he thinks of himself as other than "average" height. Well, in university, I was 6'5", 200 lbs. Another guy was 6'5", 280 lbs, and a football lineman. I considered him 'huge'; the same situation may apply here. Size is not the exact same thing as height. > > M > > On 26 Jul 01, at 16:18, Troy Lefman wrote: > > > Page 32 of Dread Brass Shadows says: > > At first glance she looked like Tharpe's big sister.
