Maybe that will help me shake the Indian accent I keep hearing. He is a great character--for me by far the most memorable of the series (three books in, that is--I might change my mind later on). If only someone would tell the cover artists that Garrett doesn't LIKE hats, it'd be perfect. Perhaps of more esoteric interest is this Author's Note from Glen Cook himself: Garrett has seen it happen. Exaggerate a little here, overlook something there. I'd like to get my hands on that second Garrett book sometime, too, just to have OTS in HC. And I'm going to have to go back and read Mocker's dialogue with Indian and Russian accents, and see if I can figure out what accent *I've* been hearing it in...can't say as I recall one, I seem to hear different tones of voice rather than accents (Mocker's voice is a little on the high side). I like Haroun better as a character, not sure what that tells you. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
