From: Raelene Card Subject: [HeWillCome] He Will Come Demo CD available! Date: 23 Feb 2001 08:45:38 -0700 This message is being sent to everyone who registered an interest during the past year in the "He Will Come" cantata by Raelene Card, available for free download from our webpage http://www.hewillcome.org/ We have been very gratified to hear from many people all around the world who downloaded the free sheet music and have enjoyed "He Will Come." It has been downloaded by visitors from over 30 countries. Thanks for your support and encouragement! We are grateful to hear that choirs are now preparing to perform the cantata in connection with Easter Sunday, which will be April 15, 2001. While "He Will Come" is effective and moving at Christmas, it seems especially powerful when presented as part of an Easter program, emphasizing the sacrifice and resurrection of the Savior. Many of you have asked about obtaining a recording of the music for your own listening, or to assist in preparing choirs to perform the cantata. We're excited to announce the availability this spring of a Demo CD to help with those needs. This recording will be offered to assist choir directors, soloists, accompanists, and choir members in learning the music and preparing for performances. It will include a full choral version of the cantata, professionally recorded and reproduced with piano accompaniment, as well as piano-only tracks for those who wish to use the recording for singing practice or performance. Note that this is not a fully-orchestrated recording such as you would expect from a commercial offering; the accompaniment is recorded, with piano, flute, and viola, exactly as it is written in the sheet music you can download here. The purpose is to help learn the music in preparation for a performance. However, based on the quality of singers and musicians involved in the project, we believe you will also find the recording to be powerful and very enjoyable to listen to. As you know, we have not charged anything for downloading our sheet music, and are allowing unlimited reproduction of copies of the music for noncommercial performance through the end of 2001. Our desire is not to make money in this endeavor, but to share this beautiful music and the joyous message it proclaims. The same applies to this new Demo CD. However, we did incur significant costs in producing and distributing the CD, and so would like to offer a copy of the CD for those who make a donation of just $10 to the nonprofit "Sonshine Music Productions" to assist in our efforts. In order to reserve your CD, please go to the webpage (http://www.hewillcome.org/) and follow the link for "Demo CD". We have set up a safe, secure method for you to order online and pay with your credit card. We expect the CDs to be ready to ship around March 1, and will notify those who have reserved a copy via email when they are being sent out. Register now to assure you receive your copy as soon as possible to help your choir prepare for its Easter program! You are welcome to reply to this message, or to enter your comments in the feedback form on the webpage in the "Your Comments" section.
