Provost, Colter, Glass and Kit and Joseph Walker, first and last, found an Eden, unsurpassed, and freely fit inside of it. Bridger, Beckwourth and Old Bill, Joe Meek and the Sublette brothers, a score, or two, of famous others much too tough for minds to kill. But, they all gone now, someone said, Old Ephriam got em. The shooting bag held those items urgently needed to use and maintain their firearm along with whatever was most necessary to survival. Perhaps along with a folding knife and fire starting kit, but that would be about it. This bag was what would be grabbed, along with the rifle, if he had to run. The possibles bag, ususally a haversack, held all the extra items. Basically it could be considered as a suitcase. It held cooking gear, food, clothing, and anything else that could make life more pleasant - but not necessary to survival. Hope that helps some.
