My reason for giving extra copies of LSOM was my own way of compensating those who have been waiting for the delivery of their discs. It is a gift, and not an exchangeable commodity. Would you ask your grandmother for the reciept from the Fruit of the Loom briefs she gave you for Christmas so you could return them? I think not. Please accept and treat the gesture as a gift. 2. If you ordered extra copies of the discs already, you are getting DOUBLE the order. I am sure you can find someone who will appreciate your own gift of a free CD, or someone to trade your extra copies with. I still get 1-3 requests for LSOM #1 each week! 3. As for why I am sending a copy of LSOM #2 to those who only ordered TWROST: I felt like a year was long enough to wait without music, and also because I wanted to. Nuff said. Hopefully this answers the bulk of the queries concerning my decision to send the extra goods. The questions haven't been excessive, but they were pointed enough to evoke a reaction. To clarify and avoid future questions: The extra discs are being sent to those who pre-ordered only. If you are ordering now you will only get the single copies, as I am sure you will understand. audio, Marshall p.s. Did I mention that the tee shirts look awesome?!?!?!?!!!!!!! p.p.s. There are currently no extra shirts, as they were made to order, but a repress may be possible. The problem is that KLF songs seem to have a constant bassline in the background that overpowers the beat and words. Most of my other music : prodigy, shamen, severed heads etc. all have a punchy beat with no constant rumble. My question is : is this how The KLF is supposed to sound and I have just been listening on inferior stereos or is there something wrong. If I turn the bass down I diminish the rumble but lose the beat. The songs it definitey happens on are 3am, WTIL, IGUN, LTTT. The sub is a single 10" in a ported enclosure firing into the rear of a hatchback with a resonant frequency of approx 40 Hz. The only other song that I heard a similar effect on was Kylie Minogue's latest that was on the radio (something about doing it again ...?) but the bassline was not constant. any help appreciated. THought it was kind of odd, as there is no real reason for there to be 40 copies on display.... At $12.99 for the hardcover, it was a real steal! It reads a lot like Douglaas Adams' "Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy." Let me know if anyone needs a copy. They are quite heavy, so I will check on postage tomorrow. audio & goodnight, Marshall p.s. I remember when, in days past, this list actually came up with the idea of making a CD compilation of those real rareties which were only ever released on limited vinyl and hence we'll never all be able to own in their original format. Then we began gathering and collating rare material onto CD compilations. And Lo, LSOM#1 was born. This has been happening a lot lately and IMHO it is getting a bit silly. I've not had the time to check it out yet, but I reckon there are only a few real RARE tracks left to be disemminated out onto the faithful. I reckon now is the time for a review, and a rethink. Time to look at what is available and then what has not yet been unearthed. What are we all missing that we really want to hear? And nobody say Deep Shit, cos' it don't exist (?) Come on! I totally second Niks sentiments here. We have so many people producing CDs it's all getting rather silly. By all means, if people have the time and money to produce and buy all these CDs then let them, but for the non-trainspotters, can we have the LSOM as a 'Best of' series from the rest, for those who want purely B + J stuff, and not some dodgy remixes by a bunch of Germans or Italians.
