I'm on the Digest, so am not bang up to date. Firstly, FOPP in Edinburgh, the shop that is selling the Timelords video single for 1.99, is now also selling the Orb's (inc. JC) 'Huge Ever Growing ... etc." CD single for 1.99. They had a pile of about forty of them at lunchtime. Secondly, a list member urges us to all buy the Wicker Man soundtrack on vinyl a few months ago, as it was a limited edition. Mojo magazine this month reports that it is now worth around 120 UKP!!! It only cost 5.99 when it came out a few months ago. I had one in my hands, but decided to wait for the CD. Damn! Mark This message is confidential and for use by the addressee only. Bill Drummond has a story there, which is quite good actually, something about hanging cows and some bizzare paintings by Jimi Cauty. Lots of other stories there, including one with Robert Anton Wilson. (looked like a lot of bullshit to me, but I´ve yet to study it really closely.) It is an interactive re-release (I have the original 12" on vinyl) and includes the video for PC or Mac! Does this mean that we can expect to see more re-releases from Drummond/Cauty? Any ideas anyone? P.S. The CD is on Phonovision Entertainment's label (0131 557 2222 for those in Britain) and includes the original release, the instrumental and= 12" club mixes. (Chill Out Sabotage) Did I miss a discussion of this sometime earlier in the year? I checked the discography and the mailing list archives (which appear to be incomplete), and no mention. It's a CD titled Chill Out, and features the same cover as the Chill Out we all know and love, but has -wolves- instead of sheep! The title number is Sabotage CD30, was "Compiled and Collated by The Sabotage Communications", and appears to be an Austrian trance tribute album to Chill Out. The packaging is brilliant: exactly as if the KLF had done it. I almost mistook it for the real Chill Out until I looked further. The tracks, well, they're not much like Chill Out, noisier and knob-twiddlier. Anyone else have this? Lazlo, want info for the discog? Little KLF relation other than tribute by means of a parody of the cover. - -paul # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Sep 1998 18:32:28 -0400 (EDT) From: jose f pabon coe stnt Subject: (klf) SPACE LP up for auction I am in desperate need of money and have decided to auction of my SPACE record. If it's got a computer-readable version of the video on it then it most definitely *is* a reissue and not just dead stock. Peter. I don't know for certain where you could get the WTIL album. The best place to find information about The KLF CD's is to go to webcrawler (http://www.webcrawler.com) and search for KLF or Kopyright Liberation Front or JAMMS or Justified Ancients of Mu Mu and one of the sites that comes up has pictures+info of mainly all the KLF albums released. I have a bit of info about 1987 1987 was originally released with Dancing Queen samples in it. When it was released Abba threatened legal action against the KLF. This resulted in the KLF making a little trip in Ford Timelord to Stockholm to find Abba. They couldn't find Abba so they stopped in the middle of a big field somewhere and burnt all the remaining copies (pictures of which are on the inlay card for "The History of the Jamms aka The Timelords" CD). Later they re-released 1987 with a DIY section where you could add you're own samples of Abba with full instructions from The KLF. apart from that another place to check out for CD's is stores like Andy's Records or HMV (UK stores, possibly abroad) or HMV can usually get new copies of any CD if you're prepared to wait a few months! ITS LIKE THAT AND THATS THE WAY IT IS!
