Sinclar was not part of that one. Someone else sent a mail saying that Stardust was Daft Punk, but Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo was not involved either. Thomas Bangalter + Alan "Braxe" Quême + Benjamin "Diamond" Cohen = Stardust Thomas Bangalter + Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo = Daft Punk So back to my original question, who is involved with the Spacedust album? For those who own the album, does it mention anything in the liner notes? Is it still Sinclar? ? = Spacedust Don Could be completely wrong here, but I think you're confusing Spacedust (who did "Gym & Tonic") with Stardust (who did "Music Sounds Better With You", which is I think the Bangalter/Sinclar track that you're talking about). Spacedust sound very little like Stardust- "Gym & Tonic" samples a keep fit video and is pop/house. I think the Stardust track was a one-off, partly because of the fact it was two people from other bands working together spontaneously. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Nov 2000 20:34:12 -0000 From: "Derek Knight" Subject: RE: (klf) Amazon Link > So back to my original question, who is involved with the Spacedust album? > For those who own the album, does it mention anything in the liner notes? > Is it still Sinclar? No. I don't own the album, but I know Spacedust are a British band, who were commisioned by a record company to rip off Sinclar's Gym & Tonic, because he refused to let it be released as a single. Their track was then a hit, but everyone then despised Spacedust for being such corporate whores. That's why everything else they've done has bombed. As for who they actually are, I have little idea. I've read an interview with them in NME, but can't remember much about it. They looked like a typical UK dance duo: male, white, skinny, middle class. Does anyone know who did this? I hear some of the sounds used in making the Pink Floyd Trance Remixes (which I have 6 of, if you want any, email me or I can load onto the ftp site) and have a suspicion that whoever did this also did the PF Trance stuff. It's "rumored" The Orb did the Floyd Trance stuff, but not confirmed.
