I understand that the recent mini-flood of Space LP1 on the market has been pretty much attributed to a new bootleg issue (rather than, say, a rediscovered carton of originals ... ha! I wish ...). Has anyone verified this via direct comparison against a certified original? If so, what are the differences? (so prospective buyers like myself can identify an original). - -- Douglas Miller PO Box 274 Canterbury Vic 3126 AUSTRALIA # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 20:43:14 EDT From: TheMgnt@aol.com Subject: Re: (klf) Space LP1 --- how to authenticate > I understand that the recent mini-flood of Space LP1 on the market has been > pretty much attributed to a new bootleg issue (rather than, say, a > rediscovered carton of originals ... ha! I don't recall specifics, but I think all the LP boots had some sort of typo on the labels, whereas, of course, the originals don't. The boot CD of Space, I can tell you, is missing the (C) KLF COMMUNICATIONS from the back. Perhaps this is missing from the label of the LP? - -paul # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Apr 2001 12:22:59 +0100 From: "Nigel Bailey" Subject: Re: (klf) Space LP1 --- how to authenticate On the original Space LP1 there is a Apollo launch style countdown followed by lift off and appropriate noises - on the bootleg it goes straight into the sound of lift off (hope that makes sense). Also the colours on the artwork are not as vivid on the bootleg. Today though I found a new item under artist KLF called Last Train, it's an LP with catalogue number JAMSLP010, I click through to it to see what it is (if it's just LTTT I've got it already) but HMV haven't supplied a track listing or anything. Is this a new release by B&J or is it just a 12" bootleg of LTTT? # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Apr 2001 08:06:08 EDT From: Darrenforster99@aol.com Subject: Re: (klf) Space LP1 --- how to authenticate In a message dated 05/04/01 13:40:06 GMT Daylight Time, dgm@altavista.net writes: << understand that the recent mini-flood of Space LP1 on the market has been pretty much attributed to a new bootleg issue (rather than, say, a rediscovered carton of originals ... ha! Instead of building a proper pyramid at loch ness they might have built a Pyramid for Tomb Raider movie. Could the movie have been filmed at Loch Ness....the TR2 extra levels disk features a castle in Loch Ness (including Nessie) - I wonder if Eidos have anything to do with B&J and the K The Millennium plan. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ End of klf-digest V2 #429 *************************
