I've since rewired all the various bits, but need some advice on the CDI unit. Would someone please let me know which wire goes where?? Its a 98 model KLR 650. If I take the smog stuff off, my understanding from Ron (cloudhid) is that you just let the two hoses coming off the prongs on the gas tank hang down with ends open. I guess this is to just let the tank vent. My question is, since one of these hoses was a return hose when hooked up to the emission stuff, can I just block one of the prongs off and be OK. I have this question because I broke the end off one of the tubes inside the tank, on the end that connected at the filler opening, and have no way to reconnect it. Your comments are appreciated. [power(in Watts)=current(in amperes) * pot. difference(in volts)] Mechanical equivalent for current is the force(or torque for rotational systems) and for pot. difference, the velocity(angular velocity for rotational systems).Your alternator makes this transition. So voltage is dependent on your rpm.But a regulator is employed to keep it steady at 12 V.Limiting factor for your alternator is the largest current it can supply.
