As the waves rolled in gently, the old man said: "It is good that we are sitting in front of the sea, my brother, you and I who have the same age exactly" The young student was a bit confused but held his place and nodded in agreement. The wise teacher said: "Do you really understand what I am saying to you?" The student (as all students) didn't want to appear stupid in front of his mentor, so he answered swiftly: "Yes, all matter was created at the same time so we come together from the beginning of the universe..." The teacher look at him in disbelief and replied: "That is propbably so, but I mean we have the same age now in this life, state of awareness, or whatever funny name or notion you have!" The student was astonished: "What exactly do you mean? You have at least 40 years more than I have..." "Yes", said the wise man, "but, do you know when you are going to die?" "No" replied the young student "Well, I don't know when I'll die either" said the teacher allowing his gaze to be pulled to the fathomless depth of the ocean and remained quiet.
