I say, what's the point of these lists, which in effect become like a gathering at your favorite watering hole, if you can't have conversation. I find that people that cry and "...wanna take their ball and go home..." are usually people I'd rather not talk to anyway. Debate and more debate, I love it, bring it on. When it reaches this point, as this one is verging on - (as it has gone beyond the realm of "info" into the land of "opinion", it just takes the right person to read a comment and go off) - it's time to take it off list. Arne, So far I've refrained from commenting on environmental or gun topics. I must say however, this time you've jumped the Big Gun. What's wrong with an argument?? Info rather than opinion?? I want both. I love the action; my fingers, as of yet, are not so arthritic that I can't press my delete button. So what if 50 thin-skinned wooses quit the list?? Good riddance. The way the article reads, it makes it seem as though the C-6 was a replacement for the A-14. But it had changed a lot of the good things about the KLR, eg big tank, long suspension, windscreen. I joined thinking this may be a way to learn more about the KLR650, hear about organized rides, meet people, and possibly make some contributions myself once I became more knowledgeable. I thought this might be a KLR650 "club". Until I read Stephanie's and then Arne's responses, I must admit that, the bantering about roadless areas (sometimes comprising the majority of the entries) had given me the perception that many people are using this list to promote organized self-interest activities that are not much related to a KLR650 "club". As one of the new participants, I do not think I am entitled to an opinion on how the list members should conduct themselves. But I wanted to express to you all the perception you have given me as "an outsider looking in".
