I don't think the center stand for a KLR will work on the Tengai. As far as I know there are no center stands made for the Tengai. I could be wrong, does anyone know for sure?<< The Rikki Cross center stand available from M&P wil work and is made for the Tengai. No matter what stand you get, you will need to remove the last 3-4 inches of the bash plate as it wraps up under the foot peg bolts. The Dual Star stands will work also, but the Tengai's height is somewhere between a lowered KLR and a stock height KLR. The lowere stand will get the back wheel about 1/2" off the ground where the tall stand will get the back end 1.5 inches off. Another demented spawn of the devil (or possibly the same one that poured Fairy liquid on my brake disk) wrote _wanker_ on the top fairing of the bike in bright red permanent marker pen. I'm going to try good 'ol WD40 to get it removed but if that doesn't work, does anybody have any other ideas? Also, will it be any good at removing chewing gum from the footpegs? The git also pulled out the fuel hoses and chucked them away. Good thing I had spares. *sigh* Last time made a police report about the washing-up liquid and all the plods would promise is that they'd step up patrols in my area. Guess it didn't work so good.
