Last night I read the article in the latest MCN about the guy with the CBR900RR with 240K miles (or something like that). This confirms what I have been thinking over the past few months. The less work you do on a bike the longer it will last. He used the cheapest oil, checked valves once every 100K miles(whether they needed it or not), has never open the carbs, put used tires on it, etc... The bike has been on the track, done commuting and touring. This is great since I can't remember the last time I lubed my chain or checked tire pressure. My last oil change was sometime last spring and I haven't washed the bike in well over a year. I feel better already. I like this helmet because you can pack the peak in your bag, ride to Moab in a full face helmet, then switch to an offroad style helmet upon arrival. I have tried riding offroad with sunglasses and a full face helmet with the visor open, but dirt and dust goes right in your eyeballs like that. I give this helmet 9 out of 10.
