There is a gasket on the thermostat which might be leaking when the bike gets cold. My '98 leaked a few drops when cold but stopped when the bike warmed up. I had the thermostat (the gasket is part of the thermostat and not available separately) replaced under warranty. This solved the problem. It is very easy to replace the thermostat yourself. Thanks. I think it was about circa '73 or 4. It had a starter/generator. Kind of hilarious to see a starter on a little 125, but it did double duty as a generator (DC) to run the lights, charge the battery and such. Has any one ever seen any other bikes with a starter that does double duty as the charging system? European bikes maybe? Steve A.
