I don't feel like I'm particularly hard on the tires with my riding style but I do feel I should be getting more mileage. I'm wondering if perhaps I'm running to much air pressure. I current run 38-40psi rear and 34-36psi front. Also who currently has the best price on the Grippster. Mine is pretty putt-puttery. And, last night on my commute home (isn't it supposed to be spring yet, at least in Cali?! I froze!), my speedo quit registering. I guess it's already time to get the shop manuals from Fred... but what are the likely causes in the meantime? And finally, since it did have the top end rebuilt right before I got it (according to the dealer at least - Diablo Kawasaki), am I (or was I) supposed to break it in real nice like? As for the speedo..pull the cable at the head and see if it turns when you are moving (maybe you can feel it)...that way you can narrow it down to the cable, the drive unit or the speedo itself...if my ancient memory serves this happened to Iron Butt Pete once and he discovered that he had not installed the speedo drive in "the notches" on the fork or something like that...check the archives... under Pete and speedo...
