You recall what happened when Ma Bell decentralised. Now its Edison. What we got is multitudes of small biz all learning, all growing, all making the same mistakes all at once. Now that's free enterprise. But ultimately, on that scale, what's happening, massive waste, massive cost of learning passed on to. ....guess who? >The consumer > rules NOT the retailer or seller. My two cents, What if the consumer takes his ball(coins) and goes home. What if ten per cent of working America just chose one item to replace, and replaced that item with something used or discarded. It gripped alright, but wear is ridiculous. The pirelli MT21 lasted well over twice as long. I rode in dusty conditions this last weekend. Got back to camp and noticed how nice and shiny my chain was...on one side only. I never had complete confidence in the Scottoiler magically distributing oil to the other side of the chain. I even tried cranking up the output of the unit, and still nothing. I'm sure if I completely opened the unit up, basically pouring the oil on the chain, enough would splash or splatter to the other side. I'm going to email Action Station and ask them about this. I mounted mine in the same location as Bill Haycock, and that is the location I have seen in Scottoiler's own pics. BTW, I had to get some stuff from Action Station, and they were great folks to deal with. OK, complaint time... Has anyone here ever dealt with Sidewinder Sprockets? I sent them several emails, tried to get through on the phone, never got any feed back from them. I was trying to find out if they make stainless steel sprockets for the KLR. They apparently make them for all bikes for $110 for a rear.
