Kaub" Subject: (klr650) Highway Pegs Get out the checkbooks and credit cards everybody and call Tim Bernard and order a set of his newest Highway Pegs. These pegs are the third generation of an ever-improving product. To see what I'm talking about go to: www.geocities.com~klrdsn/page89.html The picture of the highway pegs there shows the SECOND generation design with the added curved round bar for extra protection for the front of the upper engine. The third generation pegs add an expanded metal (steel) screen in the opening formed by the curved round bar and a reinforcement rod from the side of each mounting ear to the back of the square bar. This makes a very, very rugged set of pegs! These pegs are painted in a hammertone grey that matches the bike nicely and looks absolutely great. How do I know all this? I have a set of the first generation pegs and like them a lot. They protected the right side of my bike in two fallovers and provided a welcome place to put my feet when they got bored with the stock footpegs on long rides. But, they were just a little too short to fit me. So, Tim and I got to trading email and ideas and came up with the third generation pegs. Tim did all the work. I just had a small idea. I asked Tim to make me a set three inches longer and he did. I have them on my bike now and they fit the bike and me perfectly. These pegs do a lot. They provide a place for your feet. They provide a place to hook bungies. They provide fallover protection. They provide frontal protection for the engine. They provide a place to put two jack stands when you need to hold the front end of the bike up. Tim has done another great job for us here. Give him a call and order a set. You will be glad you did.
