I am to ship to: Corbin 2360 Technology Way Hollister, CA 95023 He said that the mods, including a new cover (the mod requires a new cover) would total $150. That is for a vinyl cover. But a couple of things to get things straight. If you call Corbin and order the modified Corbin from Raul you will not get a Gino Pokluda replica. You will get a Peter McMahon replica (Raul won't have a clue what you're talking about if you recite this to him) that started with Pete's instructions "moving the seat area back 2 inches". Gino's seat is as flat as a table top. The modified Pete McMahon Corbin retains a slight slope when looked at from the rear and is dished where your butt sits. Gino's has no dish...Gino's is 41/2 deep from front to back. So his is going to be taller. The standard Corbin Pete McMahon modified is going to be slightly (I guess 1/2" lower) but you lose even this 1/2 because it is wider where your thighs wrap around. The net effect is that the modified Corbin ala McMahon will be about the same as the stocker... How is that for confusing (g)...don't believe old elephant brain...well, the archives don't lie... Pete McMahon wrote: I just received last week a Corbin seat for my KLR. I was able to test one on my bike for a few weeks before ordering. I did not like the low dip that is too far forward on their stock design. When I placed the order I asked them to modify, which they did at no extra cost. The shape of the seat fits me fine, much better than the stock Corbin, and far better than the stock KLR seat. They built up the front part, so that it is almost level. They got the seat to me in three weeks, and it looks great. Kurt Haven't had enough yet? Well if you want you can order a Jim Barthell replica, but again don't tell Raul that, just recite the following (I want the modified Corbin with the seat area moved 2 " rearward and SCALLOPS AROUND THE GRAB HANDLES), that is the Barthell replica Corbin. You want the Pokluda replica. OK here is the recipe to Raul (I don't want the standard modified Corbin, I want a seat that remains flat all the way from the front to back just like the stock seat, measures a full 13 inches across and does not have the "valley/dish" (he's not talking about the dip, he's talking about the dish (g))in the middle associated with the Corbin dual sport seats. So, there you have it...3 different Corbin modifieds...The Pokluda perfectly flat all the way with no dish and no dip and no scallop...increases seat height 1 inch. The McMahon with the seating area moved back 2 inches and nearly perfectly flat except the dish. And the "Barthell" the same as the McMahon except scallops around the grab handles very useful for pulling your bike up on the DualStart centerstand. Kind of reminds you of one of those local breakfast hangouts where they name the order for the famous creator doesn't it? I would opt for the Kawa as well, but unfortunatly the Bandit 1200 not only fits me better, it happens to be one of the few sportbikes that fit me at all.
