Somehow the person who wrote the article was too = stupid to relate the obvious, and omitted crediting Kraftwerk, the = technopop group, with their numerous contributions to modern life, = which, much like Elvis after death, seem to get proportionately larger = with the time passed since their last real record release. It is well known that orbital are in fact fans of kraftwerk (and also there have been rumours of collaborations, etc, etc). But parts of this album really do sound like kraftwerk. I refer to track 2, which to me is a tribute to TEE, particularly in the 4:50 area. KRAFTWERK have the capacity of improvise in their live-acts developing the structures and the sequences of the songs depend= ing on the audience's reactions. Attitude now apply by Orbital (Paul and Phil Hartnoll) in their concerts. Both bands have also in common that in their live-acts, impressives and elaborated, the visual concept is supported on the projected images and on the lighting engineering, never in the image = of the musicians, dissembling by a multicolor penumbra. The duet from Kent confess two basic influences in their music: "Autobahn" and acid-house. Besides both bands consider the mixingdesk as one more instrument.
