Edgefest is the last place I ever expected moby to be doing anything. I was galavanting all over the place those days in the Twin Cities area visiting friends staying away from Edgefest (Its actually in Somerset WI near where I live). But my sister went and she was telling me all about it, "Courtney Love was dissing the festival, town, and everything else she could, and Offspring Ruled (whatever) blah, blah, blah, blahhhh........ Oh, and that wierd guy moby you listen to all the time was DJing for a while..." What? What did he play? Was it just a DJ set or did he perform? Was there Play Posters? of course she new nothing :(. I didn't go because it usually sucks every year with the exception of Flipp's antics and I don't understand why they call it Edgefest any more since the Edge has been gone for years... but you can't cry over spilled milk. Side Note: RIP rev105 the only place I ever heard moby on the radio In my travels I also picked up Play which I couldn't find at several record stores until as a last resort I went to Best Buy which was crawling with copies. They must have had 25!! I really love "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad", "Porcelain", "Natural Blues", and "Machete". "The Sky Is Broken" sounds broken to me too (I can't remember who mentioned that earlier). The second chord of the strings doesn't work with that vibe-like chord that plays throughout, it doesn't sound terrible but its enough to break the trance it had put me in up until that point while driving. Wow I'll quit before this post gets any longer. Just a little clarification... anything sent by the email address "Moby" is really coming from Moby himself. The address provided is bogus as hinted to! Moby is not a member of the mailing and therefor cannot send emails (the filters on this list will bounce any message with an address that is not subscribed). His real address is being kept confidential. We have been fortunate to have him on the internet as of late and he's been checking in on occasion to see what WE are talking about. It seems that Moby will write when he has the time or feels that a topic deserves a response from himself. Personally I am thrilled to know that Moby checks in to see what we're up to. This mailing list has been in existence for over two and a half years and Moby's participation (in whatever form that may be) is a first for us. Hopefully Moby can see how much we, the list members, love his music and his determination in life and that's enough for me. Okay, now I'm getting sappy... Cheers! So I got in there, found one of those red lists on the ground, saw Moby not coming up till 4:15 and turned around after much debating and being pissed and left with my friend. 60 bucks plus 3 extra days in America (which means 3 more days of school to make up) since I couldn't get on the plane in BWI or Dulles Airport. But anyway, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as you seemed to. It was pretty hot. Brian, I hope you got my call. Anyway, even though I missed my frist chance to see Moby due to uncontrolable circumstances, I think I made up for it. And since I have been on this list for over a year and a half and never made a new guy intro, I will list my Moby collection (all CDs of course) since I got hooked up when I got back to America.
