Whatever, thats not the biggest problem... WALMART: they suck. don't even think about them. Never shop there. As Marilyn Manson said (not that I worship him or even like his music, but I agree with many things regarding censorship that he says), Walmart is not a place to buy music. Walmart is where people who live in trailer homes buy toiletries. A record store is where you buy music. Uh... oh ya, I think it sucks that people seem to think Frank Z is just some freak. I'm going to be there that night with a few friends. I'm also planning on meeting up with Heidi, who will be over from Finland. You still out there Heidi? Hello, just got back from my month with mushrooms - you know work! The only time I saw Moby live was Glastonbury last year. It was really powerful and jumping despite standing in what only can be described as a lake! This year Glasto was gloriously hot and sunny. Shame Moby wasn't playing then. Still, they were playing Play on one of the stalls on the Friday night as we were wandering off to the dance tent to see the Chem Bros. The Scala is not, but a 5 minute walk from King's Cross Station. As you exit, turn left and keep walking and you'll find it. If you haven't been totally put off by my mails over the last year or so, we could all arrange to meet up. I'm a really nice guy, really. E-mail privately if needs be. Tim. You definately get your money's worth there. I'm personally not too hot on the festivals (8-20 bands) just because MOBY can only do a 30 minute set or so. I like to hear the stuff he doesn't play as often. Like THOUSAND (at the end of a show), Bring Back My Happiness (good version live), and a bunch of AR stuff that I didn't see this Summer. I'm not too hot on HONEY & RUN_ON but he does do great versions of those live. Hopefully he'll do a bunch more of PLAY in this part of the tour! - Jayson ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ how long does Muby i mean Moby usually play at a show? just wondering.... >>>>>>>>>>PAUL<<<<<<<<<< _________________________________________________________ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Jul 1999 18:01:07 EDT From: SCHRAGIN2@aol.com Subject: (mobility) Who cares Why is everyone here so excited about the new Moby singles? Here's why we get excited about singles, like Honey/Run On. You say it only has Honey and Run On on it? Where have you been? It's 8 tracks. 4 mixes of Honey, 3 of Run On, and 1 Memory Gospel. There's variety in the remixes so there's something for everybody, AND the music Moby personally makes & mixes is top notch. Quality. Af for the new single, it will be released in both the UK & the US. You probably don't want to know that it's Bodyrock. You also probably don't want to know that there ARE remixes and b-sides, and I suppose you probably don't want to hear about what fun I'm giong to have listening to them. There's one part of what you said that strikes a chord: "What the hell?" What the hell indeed? Did you subscribe by accident or something? Are you a Moby fan? If so, go buy a single, listen to it, inform yourself, and then share an opinion with some basis in reality. Oh, and cheer up! ...and thanks for writing. :) - -Steve _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. I am new to the mailing list, so I wanted to write to see if anyone had suggestions for getting Moby releases. I have Everything is Wrong, Move, I Like to Score, Moby, Rare- Collected B sides, Early Underground, and Play. And I would like to add to my Moby collection. Do people on this list usually talk about his music only? I've only been on a couple of days, and i've noticed that people have not really addressed Moby's essays or beliefs, Although I'd rather talk about his music anyway. ------------------------------ End of mobility-digest V2 #31 ***************************** ------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to majordomo@xmission.com with the line "unsubscribe mobility-digest" in the body.
