I talked to moby about that mix on saturday when i saw him in dallas.
Originally moby did the remix for free (on the basis that eventually billy
would do one for him)  I asked moby if billy had done any remix and he said
"No, but i've been pestering him about it for 3 years now"  I would love to
hear a pumpkins remix of "porcelain" or "southside"

or the classic ambient feeling vibes?

btw... i talked to moby saturday in ST. LOUIS.... not dallas...
the st. louis show was amazing......   Greta even told me she was impressed!  The
venue only held 650 people!  It was like seeing moby play in a friends garage.

As far as I know, the Pumpkins have never done a remix (or Billy
personally).  I had heard he was supposed to reciprocate and remix a Moby
track, and I had heard it's sort of in the works, mentally, but I doubt it
will be soon.  Last I heard they were still working on the new album, due
out in February 2000.  Which sucks, ya know?  The new SP album will be out
two months after you won't be able to order it over the internet, or buy it
with your credit card, or get it at the store 'cuz the electricity will be
gone, and heck, you won't have any money anyway because your bank will be
dead.....shoot, they'll just have to give the album to us!  Maybe the y2k
bug ain't so bad after all......;-)

It would be kind of interesting to hear, since SP is so much more electronic
now.  Actually, I hope SP goes more techno and/or electro-goth-ish.  The
last album was very goth, but I had been hoping it would be more
electronic...actually, I think the one thing I missed most was the
aggression.  The Pumpkins have never released an album without a wide range
of emotions, anger being top of the list, so it was kind of odd....I really
enjoyed "Eye" and "The End Is..." and their other dark techno/industrial
type tracks.......

Yeah, I noticed you were here earlier!!  Cool beans...

What is a "flisher", the rest of you ask?  It's a member of the Flaming Fish
Music list.  FFM happens to be one of the grooviest little indie labels this
side of the hemisphere.....they're decently known for putting out industrial
bands, but they've been picking up musicians from all flavors of techno,
along with synthpop and gothic rock.  Some of their stuff would probably
appeal to a Moby fan--I've heard a few similarities, but as I've said
previously, I'm not a diehard got-every-album fan of Moby yet, so I wouldn't
want to spout of recommendations.  The site's even got a snazzy

And believe it or not, I'm entirely unconnected to the label.  :-)

Yeah that is the one's I am talking about.  I have another 7 files to 
go.  I have heard the first of the files and the sound quality is OK, 
but still it's Moby!

Well, I live in the Netherlands (Europe) and here I haven't seen
a 3" release for years!  I have one from 1991 from the Bangles,
3" discs used to be quite common here 8-9 years ago...
Now they are only ocasionally made as limited edition or free 
CDs (like that James Bond one)

I don't have a CD changer, so I don't mind their format!
I wish all 2-track CDs were 3" ones, they are easy to 
transport because they fit easily into almost any pocket,
and they look kinda cute too :)   But I also think it's a shame
that most changers aren't 3" compatibel, and that there 
are also no special storage racks for them (perhaps only 
in Japan..)

Hatred IS sick - I just hope those meat eaters don't hate 
those who chose not to eat it either. I actually like the 
taste of meat, especially pork. I just don't eat it because 
I don't have to inflict cruelty and suffering to live. If I 
was an eskimo in the arctic, then I wouldn't have much 
choice - eat meat, I would.

I read that article aimed against vegetarians John, and I 
agree with lots of what was said. I still would rather not 
inflict suffering on animals, when I don't have to though.

The Bible seems to be have contradictory views on this, if 
you believe that everything in The Bible is absolute, 
without any form of human error (which I don't).
