The only time that i caught Moby this year (wah wah! ;)) was when he made a promotional appearance at ARO.space here in Seattle for a listening party for 'Play' and to do a dj set. He wasn't even the headliner - Mark Farina was (blistering set by him, btw) and it wasn't even confirmed that he was going to be actually spinning until last minute i guess. It wasn't really promoted that heavily either -- cuz i had friends tell me afterwards that they didn't even *know* Moby was in town, otherwise they would have been there. So it was very low key and Moby just wandered around in the club like any other patron. My friend who is a "dj snob" wasn't impressed with Moby's skills as a dj -- she kept commenting on his mixing and track selection...but i'm not as much of a snob...if it's kicking and it makes me dance, than i like it. And i was most definitely dancing. Nope they're not done. They haven't even started yet! :) Check out http://www.comedycentral.com/kith/kith_home.shtml for tour dates. Hi to all ! Just received my Play "Limited Edition (with one Cd extra)" and all that i can say is that it doesn' worth it at all. What do we have inside ? Let me tell ya: - - a nice red cardboard box (maybe the best thing of the pack that i didn't have already) with the front and back cover of the album on it. Inside: - - A brand new Moby Play. Cool, i like having 2 Cds strictly identical. They refuse to take it back without the rest but since i waited for that too much, i want to keep the rest. I'll have to find a way to sell it. - - the bonus CD. What a s*** this is ! Composed of 2 tracks, Memory Gospel and Spirit (respectively from the Honey and Run On single that i already own); the Why does my heart feel so bad ? video (on the WDMHFSB ? single no ? The new thing about it is that the video quality is much better, surely because it's an mpeg file.); An exclusive interview of Moby in Paris in September (great: 5 questions not very interesting and 5 answers thatou already know ifyou read his biography somewhere on the web), all in text format. No, we don't see Moby but they put it under the video part); A picture gallery that i've searched for 15 minutes but i haven't found (or is it the singles pictures -of Honey, Run On, Bodyrock and WDMHFSB ?- that we see next to the questions ?) That's all? Yes, that's all. And furthermore the extra cd is french so if you don't understand french, too bad i guess (don't know if there's a english version) SO, ellie and those who wanted to buy it, please don't spend your money on that ! But of course if you don't have Play, speak French and have about 20 $ to spend, buy it. Thanks to Mute, Virgin and Labels, i'm tired of bad Play promos (Second one with the Excerpts from Play Cd where all tracks are cut at 2:40 -2:50 ) AAAARRRGH, why does this limited edtion is so bad ? Can't wait for the real CDs that i ordered (Next is the E, GO remixes and Into the blue{2}.) Have a nice week end.
