The way I found the article (since I didn't see a link on the frontpage was I went to: http://www.sonicnet.com and searched for MOBY and you'll see it under latest news. Moby is quoted as saying "If someone likes a record I made, I almost feel like I owe them something. ... Like I should take them out shoe shopping, or clean their bathroom or something." Aww man then to the shoe store I go! ;) Anyways, does anyone know anything about that 4th unidentified MOBY track? Great, though would V2 have the rights to anything pre-Play? Why don't you get moby involved? It's been 3 years and already sales are almost neck and neck. What the hell, do you have the three stooges as the heads of your marketing dept.?!?! Then you probably weren't around in the early 90s and before--They didn't have any of that bullshit, infact I remember an article about how MTV made the decision to add extras on the screen--1. Opportunities for ads DURING videos and 2. Because lo and behold if a crappy video came on people would change the channel; They believed putting extra stuff on that would pique people's interest would make them stop channel surfing. > At least they had different types of fun type questions, instead of the > usual we already know stuff about his music. The VJ did no such thing; Everytime something original and interesting was said it was Moby who interupted or digressed that prompted it. > Until someone else starts a channel > that does the same or more, live with it. I mean big deal they showed 120 > minutes and hr later than it usually is..one can adapt. Others have, any one remember "The Box"? In fact, a while ago there were about 3 or 4 channels that were either available through satellite or on limited syndication through local cable companies, Even MTV itself has M2, all infinitely more decent than MTV will ever be again. The reason for their failure? Bought out and shut down or not carried by cable companies because they already have a "music video" channel, fuck all. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jan 2000 00:59:12 EST From: Chilidiba9@aol.com Subject: Re: (mobility) Moby hosting 120 Minutes yeah...well..i sort of dozed off until 12 thinking that 120 minutes would go on at 12 like it usually does and that freakin lo-life adam that always has a freakin smirk on his face is still making jokes that are not funny....i end up passing out and never seeing moby...peace..elie ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jan 2000 01:12:26 EST From: Chilidiba9@aol.com Subject: Re: (mobility) Everyone so pissed... i mean, at least most of you watched it ok...love you all..elie ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jan 2000 01:14:29 EST From: SieZMaC@aol.com Subject: (mobility) Can someone help?? i missed the url to where everyone was putting up their mp3s.. could i get that from someone???? thanks "I gave you all that was mine, but mine was not all you got"SieZMaC ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jan 2000 08:31:59 +0100 From: "Sven Lauwers" Subject: RE: (mobility) WDMHFSB? sharp boys remix? One will feature Moby. As an added bonus, select copies will include a limited edition Moby cd with unreleased material. Please make sure you don't buy issues with any other artist on the back cover expecting to find a Moby CD. There are 3 other artists involved with the promotion and they will all have promotional CDs in select copies. If you see a shrinkwrapped copy, please check the back cover. If that shot is of Moby, there should be a Moby CD inside. This does not apply to the current issue (with Melissa Etheridge and David Crosby on the cover).
