And it was a rather demeaning experience. I had to stand in the rain for 45 minutes with about 100 screaming 13 year old BUSH fans who started chanting "we want gavin" Moby's car pulled up and they assaulted the car thinking it was someone from BUSH. Moby got out and everyone walked away. I felt bad for him. But there were about 20 of us who stood for autographs. He stood in the RAIN for about 30 minutes talking to everyone. He may have stayed longer but I don't know, I left :) My suggestion is to find a bus and a gate and a security guard and wait next to it. The only reason I saw moby was because he was returning from dinner. By the way... a bit of nifty info for you hardcore fans who will understand. The driver of his car was a man who said he was a close friend of Moby's. He told us his name was Paul. I didn't think to ask if his last name was Yates.... but i'm guessing thats who it was! - -----rob >From: Blujeans3@aol.com >Reply-To: mobility@lists.xmission.com >To: mobility@lists.xmission.com >Subject: Re: (mobility) BIG NEWS >Date: Fri, 24 Mar 2000 07:26:13 EST > >In a message dated 3/23/00 9:24:35 PM Pacific Standard Time, >rskipwo@hotmail.com writes: > ><< and you people who have tickets... you're n for a treat! > >> >Thanx for the concert update..i am going April 4th in ohio. They were all there to see BUSH. But there were a few kids gettin crazy for moby. I can't really tell you if its worth it or not. Especially since I don't know how far you live for new york. I do know that once i drove 12 hours roundtrip to see him play a 45 minute set and i didn't regret it. He played pretty much the same set as usual. It was neat to hear the songs with scratching. This DJ Pagan guy doesn't seem to like Spinbad, but i thought he added an interesting twist to the music. His scratches were a bit formulaic, but still they were scratches and thats new to me! (at least in moby songs) If you're a little bit into bush and think you might enjoy some of their set... then definitely go. Otherwise...
