(a case of the whithers) HEy folks!@!!!!!!!!!! So where is the damn Porcelain video anyway? Somebody here said there was one right? Well its top 20 on the "modern" "rock" charts and its top 5 in the UK, so by now I think we'd be seeing the music video for it. At least on VH1 anyway ;) So does anyone know if MTV plans to premiere it or something? Is it out in Europe? How many here have seen it? Also, according to a few sources (TV Guide, the tv thing in the paper, and MTV.com a few days ago) AMP is supposed to be on tonite at 3 AM (eternal ;) but according to mtv.com NOW, it says "MTV After Dark" or some such shit. who knows. everyone in the US who gets MTV set yr VCR for 3 am (or stay up that late) and see if they play AMP (which is where they'd likely play the Porcelain video, if there is one yet...) also, 120 Minutes should be at 1 am, altho its supposed to be some rock station festival special. hooray. also, check this out. brings back memories: http://profiles.yahoo.com/orbitalfreak that was just so i could use the chat room ;) first time i ever used the internet too. i think i even remember the password (its actually not Sifl & Olly related ;) well duh ;) also, ROCK! This is the first issue and it comes with _2WO_ CDs!!! one is all Thievery Corporation type stuff and the other is kinda various shades of chill (LTJ, smooth house, etc.) at least i think, havent listened to any of it yet... I'm not sure if this is any good tho. The person on the cover is, um, Madonna (no offense, but for some magazine that proclaims itself to be The Future Of Music or whatever, isnt it a bit trendy to have MAdonna on the cover?) altho the cover folds out and there is a bunch of various "cool" people there, all cut and pasted onto some compuer generated landscape (Chems, LTJ, Roni, Kelis, and of course our dear Moby, from one of the Play booklet photos, the one where his hands are behind his back and he's on the street... altho they remove the street part etc. and make him really small, Kelis is like 100 times bigger than him in the photo thing there...) and they list their websites n stuff, so moby.org is namechecked again ;) and theres this pointless timeline thing, like namechecking every damn disco record in the 70s (I've never, ever heard Ashford & simpson being namechecked as godfathers of modern electronic music...) going to every "calssic" techno/dance record that sold over 1000 copies in america or something. i dont know. i think all the people who will read this already know about that junk, right? you dont need to have another "history" type thing there again i think... and anyway, theres this ad from Instinct promoting Moby's back catalog (EU, Ambient, Rare, s/t)! and someone in the letter department writes in looking at an advance copy or something saying "I won't even get into Moby. Ok I will. He's tired." and the editor guy who's replying or whatever says something like "he's credible, but its not like he's good most, or even much of the time. its like they say, when he's good, he's really good, but when he's bad....." well, i probly won't be getting another one of these again! but who knows. I wish they would just fucking bring Muzik into the states or something! that magazine is way better, and their sense of humor is better too. they also try to dodge trendiness or something by giving the new BT and Fatboy Slim's "On The Floor" bad reviews (I'm totally sick of most of his stuff, but even I had to admit his mix cd was good! but to each his own...) altho they give Broadcast and Suba 4 stars each, which I agree with ;) and oh yeah, theres a teeny tiny little Flat Eric article/foto (altho, its very very teeny....) in general, if you can get Muzik, theres no need to get this really. unless you want to really. but It'd be much better to get Muzik or Future Music (if yr into creating music) or something. or CMJ Monthly but they are kinda going into a little sell-out decline. But whatever, I still haven't listened to the CD's so maybe they're really good. I don't know can I go now? ;) ok ROCK!
