IF I could sing or play something besides the piano and were in a band, I'd definitely wear my shirts. A bunch of small, local bands I've seen always wear their shirts...you know, for promotion. YOu see them, you like what you hear, you head over to the little table and get yourself a shirt just like theirs. Sometimes if you're lucky they'll take it off and give it to you. I have a nice green U.S. Bombs shirt hanging in the closest w/ the name kenneth on it (like a mechanic's/bowling shirt). It was a specially made shirt for each of the band members. Kenneth of the band gave it off his back to my boyfriend who is a big fan. I think it's really neat to have moby wearing his shirts. Especially if he's wearing one that's not being sold at the concert but you just happen to show up wearing the same shirt. What's that say? It says Moby thinks you have great fashion sense. After all, you're wearing the same shirt. No matter how big Moby gets, I find it charming that he wears his shirts. I find it the complete opposite of pretention. I find it humbling. But that's just me. - -Tina ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com - ------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to majordomo@xmission.com with the line "unsubscribe mobility" in the body. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Jul 2000 13:47:39 EDT From: DJTripp2@aol.com Subject: (mobility) DJ TRIPP ALBUMN EP OUT NOW! So, I am VERY excited to see him for the first time. >Like i posted several months ago the venue is only about 1/2 hour for >me, >so i'm looking forward to meeting listess. I was only there to see Moby. Sat down through most of Bush. Can't stand them. FUnny though...their first tour was the first concert I had ever been to. But again, I went to see No Doubt (this was before they hit it big). I had heard of them in California but never got a chance to see them. Anyway, back to Moby: He did the dramatic "Thousand" closing. It took my breath away. I couldn't stand the audience at the concert. Hopefully, and I know it will be, it will be better at the red rocks. Hopefully I can even go to the red rocks. What I found funny was that some ppl were trying to dance to thousand. It starts out slow and just gets faster and faster and you could see ppl frantically dancing to it, then finally give up. hee hee. - -Tina - ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Rob Skipworth" He did thousand for his two shows but not the festival and bush show. I'm rather glad that he didn't waste the dramatic closing song on bush fans. :) (no offense to bush fans... i just don't think they would have cared much.) ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com - ------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to majordomo@xmission.com with the line "unsubscribe mobility" in the body. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Jul 2000 13:22:21 -0500 From: John Turpin Subject: Re: (mobility) Moby in Auckland NZ. Moby has become so popular that newbie fans don't even know the most over publicised non-musical fact about Moby: that he is the grad-grand-etc. nephew of Herman Melleville, the author of Moby Dick, and that the book is also the sourch of Moby's stage name.
