However, the best version is Clubbed to Death on the 12" vinyl. The first time I played it, I didn't know it had to be played at 45rpm, and thought it was the best song I have ever heard! Imagine my slight disappointment when I finally realised that it had to be played at 45rpm, not 33rpm. Well, stuff it, I'll still play it at the wrong speed. In answer to several poeple asking what Moby's dog's name is, (his name was posted a while ago, guess ya'll forgot) I believe it's Walnut. I've heard rumors of an Atlanta concert date, but haven't been able to find any info on it. Is there really going to be one in Atlanta? Does anyone know? Well, i'm going to sign off now. Bak" Subject: (mobility) Boise/meeting MOBY I had such fun at the SLC show that i drove 6 hours to see MOBY again in Boise!!! The venue was much cozier and i was right up front. Besides the time that a burly security guy inadvertantly dumped his beer on me, the concert was ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! I nearly wept when he played ah-ah. Now that's beauty. The accustic version of Feeling so real was great too!! After the show I met MOBY again (I must be the luckiest person around). I just waited by his bus and he came. I got a photo taken of us together. He's really very amiable with his fans, very polite, grammatically correct, and delightful. I just tried not to take up much of his time, but he's really extremely nice. I hope all of you enjoy the respective shows you're going to attend. ciao-- Meredith A. [And then there's insignificant me] Heya Everyone, before I begin, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOBY! :) How could I not start off like that? :) Anyways, Hi folks! :) I am new to the mailing list pretty much and I decided now is as good a time as any to introduce myself :) Mr. Kelly Flewin Age: 21 Located: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada [As feature on Jeopardy] :) Collection?: Everything Is Wrong, Animal Rights 2xCD, I Like To Score, Play, Honey 2xUK Cd Single, Honey/Run On single, Hymn Single, Hymn Alt Quiet Version Single, James Bond Reversion single, Next is The E cd single, Drop A Beat cd single and Go Remixes cd single. Not much compared to some of you.. but it's a meager beginning :) I am always into aquiring more for my collection... heck I wana own the entire discography one way or another some day :) I am also a big fan of Underworld [98.6% of the Discography now baybee! WOOH!] And The KLF [100% Coming up :) Oh yes!] Anyways, going about through the last few digests, and not wanting to sift through 5 gajillion archives, I was wondering the following things. A) Has there ever been a remix competition or such at all on this mailing list? As in, everyone chooses their favourite Moby song and makes their own remix of it and we release em all on a 2cd collection or such. B) Is there an ftp archive where we may submit our rare mixes we find and share amongst each other... like rare 12' mixes that would be hard to aquire... or is that a no no? C) How often does Moby ever post to the message board? [I noticed some signs he does and that is VERY cool! I know the boys of Underworld do that as well every now and then... I love it when the artists have a few moments to interact with fans online.] Now onto a few things of my own personal viewage.. A) Moby losing to Eminem... that is the saddest thing I have ever seen... mind you if Moby won I wouldn't be surprised if Eminem tried to ask Moby to do a track with him.. [or try to take the award away on stage..] because he;d wanna get more hype... Heck... Moby & Marilyn Manson doing a track would be a bit... weird.. yet intriguing.. 2 different ends of the spectrum, unified in one... Stranger things have happened! [Josh Wink & Trent Reznor for example] B) Moby's appearing at the MMVA?!?!?!? How the heck did they ever book him!??!?! HOW?!?! I mean seriosuly.. I am so embarassed Bradford How gota job there... he's turned into a beyond mondo slacker and embarassment to this city [Even I'd be a better candidate].... and now they get Moby!!! C) Is Winnipeg ever going to be a likely Tour place? Or am I going to have to endlessly suffer hearing how good he is live and never be able to get to a concert for another 2 years or so? [HINT HINT!! NICE CITY TO VISIT! FRIENDLY PEOPLE! LOTS OF TALENT HAVE BEEN HERE!!!] Guess I am going to have to stick with the Tragically Unhip [do not like em] and their free concert. D) My favourite Moby Tracks... does this include pseudonyms? In no particular order... Moby - I'm Feeling So Real Voodoo Child - Dog Heaven [Extended Edit] Moby - Bodyrock Moby - Go Moby - Next Is The E [Synthe Mix] Moby - Hymn [Alt.Quiet.Version] Moby - Novio Moby - Drop A Beat OMD - Souvenier [Moby Edit] [Not created by him.. but mixed... soo..] Moby - Oil 1 Well that's it folks! Thanks for reading and have a great day... and once more.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOBY!! Sincerely, K. Flewin Tknomncr@Hotmail.Com - -1 time signature unless desire in future.
