If you had a talent that could bring you around the world to meet other people and do some pretty cool things, why not have fun with it and make the best living that you can? If it werent for commercials, like the labatts one, I may not have caught on to the Play album. and its mostly because all I can read about is how metallica is trying to ban people and how brittany spears is cool with kids. its not like he is forcing any products on any one - he is using his management team to get the music out there and then drawing us in to listen to what he has to say - i thought what he had to say in the liner notes of his play album were pretty cool - and it was a lot more than just a band thanking everyone that worked on the album. and think - the album sold triple platinum - one of the best selling albums ever - that many more people are listening - and not because he is all over the radio either - in toronto i cant stand the crappy radio stations - they would rarely play some of his music - and really, there isnt room for the cooler songs on his album - i cant understand why south side couldnt be released as a single, and im terribly upset that it doesnt seem to be on his playlist ((however, it doesnt ever seem to be mentioned in any emails that I have read so far so i may be on my own in liking that song). anyways, I promise not to send such long emails in the future, but just wanted to speak out about the selling out thing happy birthday Moby looking forward to the October 14th concert bye for now - ------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to majordomo@xmission.com with the line "unsubscribe mobility" in the body. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2000 01:32:19 GMT From: "Ryan Gossett" Subject: (mobility) Porcelain question for Moby Hello Everybody, I have a favor to ask those of you who will be seeing Moby in concert in the next couple of weeks (and probably meeting him also). When I met him during the campus invasion tour I asked him if Porcelain was going to be released as a single here in the states and he said "yes". I really don't want to buy both import singles just to find out that the superior domestic version will be finally coming out. If someone has the opportunity to ask Moby if he knows when it will be released that would be awesome. I'm seeing him Oct 6th but I can't wait that long. Is scott? from v2 still part of mobility? he might be able to shed some light on the query. Lastly, just a little bit on the Soul of Moby on ebay. Because paul yates is also selling a video tape and autographed picture of Moby, I think that makes his sale legitimate (from a certain point of view). I think Paul is almost doing this as a very public way for 2 good frineds to mess with each others head. Thanks for your time and effort on the Porcelain question everyone TTFN Ryan _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. There was no security or nothing to stop me form sneeking it in ans moby played some amazing stuff. He was messing around with his new synthesizer and started playing this really cheesy beat then all of the sudden he's like, "supersonic..." and went into a hilarious mockery of the song. He also played some surf songs and and absolutley precious acoustic guitar version of procelain that I would give anything to have a recording of. I'll be kicking my self for not recording that one for ages. If anyone happens to have a bootleg of such a porcelain version, would they give me a way to get it? thanks, love all rubbersharkman __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
